He also gained the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

As a treble Jon sang with the West Sussex Boys’ Choir.

While at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama G4 were formed. The original line up along with Jonathan busking to raise money to cover their expenses as students were: Ben Thapa, Michael Christie and Tom Lowe, Tom later being replaced by Matthew Stiff
