Yulia and Englebert to team up on stage

She is a 20-year-old singer celebrating the success of her second album. He is a 70-year-old crooner with a career spanning 40 years and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
At first glance, they may not have much in common, but next month Christchurch singer Yulia Townsend will share a stage with music legend Engelbert Humperdinck, and she could not be happier about it.
The Russian-born New Zealander, who will join Humperdinck on his three-night tour of the country, said: "When I got the news from my manager I was absolutely stunned. He said that Engelbert was very excited about having a top New Zealand singer with him, but I think I am more excited.
"I remember listening to his songs – my favourite is Quando Quando – and I love them."
Although Townsend has a huge fan base – both her albums went straight to No. 1 in the charts – she admitted to being a bit starstruck at the thought of meeting Humperdinck.
"I really hope we can do a duet together and I hope his fans like me."
Humperdinck's Totally Amazing World Tour kicks off at the Christchurch Town Hall on Tuesday, June 13.

If I was in New Zealand, I would love to go to one of her concerts! BTW today I got her new album!!! I will have a beautiful evening listening Yulia's voice!
