MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT:
"It’s been an eventful month for Geoff in October yet he’s kept a low profile. Some people have asked HQ: ‘where is he?’ so we wanted to explain why: on doctors’ orders! On Friday 10th of October 2008 around 1am Geoff was biking home from a singing gig in London when he was hit by a car. Geoff was thrown from his bike into the windscreen, smashing it completely, and tossed onto the road landing on his back. Fortunately his helmet stayed on, no doubt saving his life. The car was a write-off. He was taken to hospital by ambulance in a neck brace and police were on the scene immediately. The driver of the car took full responsibility. After spending several hours through the night at A&E being treated for shock, cuts and bruises and a shoulder injury, Geoff was released. He’s spent the following couple of weeks being treated by a physio for his injuries and recovering quietly. We didn’t want to alarm anyone or upset fans by not explaining earlier but Geoff has just been busy getting well again. So we hope you accept our apologies for not being in touch sooner. He sends his love to all his supporters. We’re sure you join us in wishing him all the best and a full recovery."
From Simone:
a note to all our special friends: Sorry for not doing this sooner or more personally but it's been a very emotional time and we have just been smelling the roses and grateful Geoff is alive and kicking! He's not been himself lately as a result and he looks forward to hitting the 'high notes' again. However it could have ended so differently so we are thanking our lucky stars....
Love to you all and we'll be in touch soon with more news about future exciting events.
Sim xx |

All best wishes to Geoff and I hope he gets well soon.
Aled uses limo bikes all the time in London, he reckons they save him so much time in his very busy schedule. I guess it was one of these that Geoff was using, and it is so unfortunate that he has had an accident like that on London's busy streets.
I'm so pleased that it sounds as if he is recovering well |
