It has been announced in the Shropshire Star that Russell will be perfoming at their open air concert in The Quarry on 6th September 2008.

Indian Summer: Russell Watson at the Quarry
Russell Watson plus special guests.

Tickets bought in advance cost £35.00. Tickets bought on the day will cost £40.00.

All Tickets subject to a booking fee of £3.00 per ticket
A postage charge of £0.50 will be applied to each transaction

The event will be a picnic style event so food and drink will be allowed into the venue as well as being on sale during the evening.

Gates will open at 5:30pm. The show will start at 7:30pm and will finish at 10.30pm.

Quarry concerts set to be sell-outs

"...Joint organiser Jane Edmunds said: “Tickets for our classical night, starring Russell Watson and opera divas All Angels, are really selling fast now - we’ve seen a surge in sales since the flower show, when we were out and about with flyers.

“People do tend to wait to buy tickets until close to the event date but in this case we would urge them to book now in order to avoid disappointment - this is a massive event for the county featuring a world-class line-up and we fully expect it to sell out.”

Well, it looks like the weather was decent after all, although the field was very muddy. I am sure everyone had a wonderful time anyway. Now keeping fingers crossed for good weather next Saturday.

The concert appears to have been a success and a good time was had by those attending and ACM Gospel Choir joined Russell for a couple of songs, (instead of Ysgol Glanaethwy as previously stated).
