Acclaimed violinist Nicola Benedetti makes her area debut Monday night for the Concert Association of Florida. Her debut recording of Szymanowski and her follow-up disc of shorter works, have received widespread accolades. Benedetti will perform the mighty Bach Chaconne, Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 3, Ravel's Violin Sonata and Tzigane, and Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso with pianist Julien Quentin. Concert time is 8 p.m. at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are $18-$63, with student prices at half-price.
