Hi Westport. The worthing concert is on the 28th march I think! We were going to move to Wales! That's my dream! But Husband doesn't want to make such big changes! So we are moving to a village near Hastings! We will be nearer the sea which for me is crucial!! And there is some lovely countryside round there! It is a nice village with a great primary school for Joe who is due to start school in September. And it's near friends and family. We may move toWales another time. I got a brochure through for Snowdonia yesterday and just thought that I could go there and never leave again!! At least leaving it a bit would give me time to learn welsh properly! I am a primary school teacher by trade and to teach in Wales I believe you need to speak Welsh! As for moving with two small boys!? We will hopefully get the removal firm to do the packing. Then it's minimal hastle! They just come in the day before and pack up the entire house. I can stay at my Dad's with the boys while that is happening!
And in the meantime the tour is getting closer which is exciting!! Can't wait!! ALED!!!! Lyrical Lynz - enjoy the concert and you'll be able to blow many kisses to Aled from your front row centre seat!!
and if you want to go to worthing Westport...! By the way - does having 2 boys get easier as they get older?? I hardly dare ask!? They're fab really!?

| Hi again Silwa I would love to go to Worthing but it is a long way! Perhaps another time! I really think teenagers are the hardest - at least when they are small you know where they & past 18 they are responsible ( or supposed to be ) for themselves. I did wonder when they would turn into men & I think we are there - ha ha! They have both been great & now I am widowed I would not be without them! Jane |

Information on Aled's forthcoming shows from the theatre in Blackpool where he will be performing (the Opera House):
"When Aled Jones goes on tour in March and April, he will take with him an astonishing wealth of beautiful music for his audiences to savour.
On his most recent album “You Raise Me Up: The Best of Aled Jones”, Aled has provided his legions of fans with a heart-stopping collection of everything he does best. This latest offering includes ‘Panis Angelicus’ with fellow-Welshman Bryn Terfel, the exquisite ‘I Believe’ and ‘Vespera’ along with the beautiful ‘You Raise Me Up’ and incredibly moving ‘How Great thou Art’ which is still the nation’s favourite hymn.
Also included in Aled’s concerts will be pieces which are new or rarely heard. In addition, he will introduce an acoustic guitar as part of his accompaniment, which will bring a new edge to his performance and possibly hint to the direction his new studio album is taking."

Wow, sounds great! Can't wait!! Less than a month to go now! It will be wonderful to see Aled again and to hear his wonderful voice! His concerts really do leave you with such a good feeling that you are on a high for days after!
Joe is very excited about the guitar as it is his favourite instrument!
Thanks for the info Xbons! |

Welcome popbabe
There certainly are a group going to Aled's concert in Rhyl, and they will be collecting for Hope House too. So if you are interested, the person to contact is Eleri.
I hope you enjoy the concert - I am sure you will!

It has been confirmed that Libera will be accompanying Aled at the Croydon Fairfields Halls concet on Monday April 2nd. So a great opportunity to see / hear them, and to see / hear some of the great collaborations Aled and Libera have made on Aled's CDs. This really should be a treat!
Just to add, the concert starts at 8.00., not 7.30pm. |

Hi Karen,
Come and join us at Croydon! - there is always a bed here overnight if you want it Think about it seriously...
But Rhyl should be pretty good too, Aled is always special in North Wales as he so clearly feels so at home there. I wonder if he'll sing in Welsh in Rhyl? Whatever, you'll have a great evening. |

Hi!
So what do we do now?? When will we hear Aled sing again live??
Rhyl was fab!! Joe had a great time too! And Croydon last night was fab too!!!! Libera were great!! So young!! And Aled was his usual amazing self!! What a voice!! What a man!! There was a different guitarist last night who was great!! Cute too! The songs Aled sang which will be on his new album were gorgeous!! Looking forward to that!!
Just looking through the last few posts of this thread which mention me moving to Sussex! Well all that has changed and we are infact moving to North Wales!! How exciting!!!!!!!! |

A quick checkin from my friend's house near Norwich. Looking forward to tonight, of course! and hoping to see Aled for an interview afterwards. Obviously l'll report back.....
There's a google alert come through which I don't have time to deal with right now, but will on my return - and it sounds as if Kings Lynn went very well too..
