|
|
| Just been announced on GMTV - he was filming for them in LA and was taken ill with severe headaches and blurred vision and was immediately rushed back to the UK and has just undergone a 5 hour operation to remove a 3 inch tumour from his brain. Thankfully the tumour was benign and he is recovering. I guess it does throw into doubt though if he will be recovering enough to undergo his tour in November and the album promotion. Get well soon Russell. |

Hi, Penny -
I saw the report this morning, too - quite a shock for everyone, I think. Carla Romano did say that she had been told that Russell was expected to be well enough for his UK tour starting in November - let's hope they're right.
If all his fans are thinking about him and willing him back to full health, I'm sure it will happen - all the very best, Russell, we love you. |

from BBC...
"Russell wishes to pay his sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire medical team at St George's Hospital who successfully carried out the operation," said a spokeswoman for the Salford-born tenor.
"He is obviously very relieved that the operation has been a success and is in good spirits. He is now resting and we are told by the doctor he will make a complete recovery," she added.

I can't say enough about how glad I am to hear he is ok. I love Russell's voice and the person he is and I have all his cd's and 1 dvd with several copies of each. It would have been a great loss to the music world had it turned out to be serious and
I can't even begin to think of not hearing his magnificent ever again. His is a true natural and God given gift of music and his master was there watching over him and assisting the doctors with their work. Hoping he will be back on his feet very soon and I'm wishing him all the best and loving thoughts for his quick recovery.
Love ya Russell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Russell,, please take good care of yourself. I was devastated to hear the news of your horrendous surgery and thank God everything turned out the way it did. HE was certainly watching over you and that wonderful medical team who took care of your problem. Love always, Joyce (Baroness of Watson) California XXX |

Gosh, very sorry to hear of Russell's latest battle. It's good to hear he's doing well though, here's hoping he is well on the way to recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him.
