Post subject: Media reviews of HTTH
thought I'd start this thread to put all media reviews of the new album

Quote:
It’s power ballads at full throttle as The Ten Tenors get stuck into the songbook of Oscar-winning composer John Barry. The 12 songs in this collection have a very film-score sound to them, not surprising considering they come from such movie classics as Dances With Wolves, Out Of Africa, Somewhere In Time, Gladiator and You Only Live Twice and Barry wrote eight of the tracks. It makes for an emotional, highly charged sound, and the voices of the 10 fine singers and the brilliant production values live up to the drama of the material. The result is an album of easy, if often stirring, listening. Individual voices are shown off to their advantage on some tracks, but it is when the 10 let go at full blast and in perfect harmony, with the backing of the 87-piece orchestra, that The Ten Tenors show they are the sum of their parts. Standout tracks include the title song, We Have All The TimeIn The World and Places, while the 007 theme You Only Live Twice benefits from the lush, all-encompassing sound. Queen songs are a regular part of The Ten Tenors repertoire, and they give Who Wants to Live Forever a striking working over. You might not put this album on regular rotation – the music is strong on vocals, heavy on harmonies and lays on all the drama – but it is another impressive work from this act.
