Let's stop that discussion about who can like what kind of music here, we wouldn't come to an end anyway. It sounded very much like talk from a know-it-all, so that's where my sarcastic reaction came from. Anyway, I'm a very sarcastic person and I know that. That has nothing to do with you or that I don't like you or anything. But I'll try not to be towards you any more.

I don't think Sarahs 'A Question of Honour' or 'Time To say Goodbye' could be classes as boring. I guess someone could say that really... but I'd think they're weird, because I'm subjective like that. |
OK, I'd better not comment on that, I guess. |

I hardly consider myself a know-it-all, I just thought it was an interesting parallel, I wasn't arguing against you, rather, your comment just prompted me to write about it in general. I do go on tangents... I don't mind sarcasm normally but only when I know the person and I know they don't mean it. Coming from a stranger it is rather... well I guess offensive is the only word for it I thought it was an attack because it wasn't the first time, but I believe you
Anyway, I guess we (or I) have dragged this right off subject. Sorry! Um, no Charlotte isn't crossover [spam alert] _________________

Personally I don't mind too much if subjects are dragged a little off tangent. As long as they are related in some way to the original subject which I think this is.
Yes Nic I am a hard rock/metal fan (well remembered!) because that is the style of music I'm probably most geared towards, or used to be. To defend Nic I've 'known' her for about 3 months and I don't think she assumes herself to be a know-it-all but then it's easy for someone to pick up the wrong messages just from text.
Anyway, it seems interesting to me that Ms Church will take a long time to shake off her past if this website is anything to go by. |

this debate could run forever....however I ask that the comments do not become personal and are directed towards musical opinion only. This is a friendly site and will remain so with a little restraint applied on occassion.
In my opinion.......
If you ask 1000 people for their definition of 'classical crossover' you will have a diverse range of replies.
Each person will argue with conviction that everyone elses opinion is incorrect and cannot be properly backed up.
Here on Classicalx we have now and will add in the future a broad range of artists that define 'crossover' to as diverse a range of people as possible.
That means there will NEVER be agreement on 'why every artist is here'.
Saying that I hope this debate continues to run, but no-one really can be wrong the classical crossover genre is difficult to 'pin down' and will continue to be a strongly argued point. |

Sorry for spoiling the peace. I'd better keep my mouth shut. |

It wasn't your fault Nadine, just a misunderstanding. It happens _________________

Did anyone else manage to catch the show when it aired the other night? What did you think? I have seen her guest present on Have I Got News For You before and thought she was very good. I appreciate that a certain amount of the show is read from an autocue but I thought she had a good rapport with Paul Merton and Ian Hislop. However, her own show is something new entirely and it would be interesting to see what people thought.
