This site is very easy to navigate once one gets used to it. I look at it all the time and have posted quite often. So upsetting to know that there are crazy people out there who want to do us harm. Thank you Tony for everything you do for us on RWUK - we all appreciate it very much. I remember when the site was hacked once before (late at night so the UK gals didn't see what was on the screen). It was really disgusting and I would never repeat to anyone what I saw !!! That is how bad it was ! Best of luck Tony in rebuilding the site - it is a tremendous job and we will all wait patiently to get back on line.

Hackers! Hope you get it fixed soon Tony.
Will do a 'shortened' review of Audley End for you all. It is slightly different than the other one as cannot remember what I wrote so you will get two reviews of the same event on different websites.
My daughter and I arrived at Audley End at about 12 o'clock. We wondered around the gardens and the house, which was certainly worth a visit. The local village seem to use it as a sort of park with children and dogs everywhere.
We moved to the concert venue when it opened at 2.30, being told to move the Jeep at the same time, otherwise it would get blown up by the fireworks! The orchestra were already there and practising. It was like we got a couple of concerts in one. On came the soprano to warmup and she got a round of applause when she finished. On came William Hayward and ran through what Russell was singing with them, making his point by playing the keyboard in front of him with what he wanted the orchestra to do. Looked away for a minute, and when I looked back, Russell was standing there. My seven year old daughter rushed over right to the front and I wondered over a bit slower. He sang Strangers of the Night quietly warming up and then waved at everyone as he walked off.
Noticed that a group of fans had disappeared but they quickly came back saying that they had seen him around the side. Thought, bother, we've missed him but took Anna around there anyway just in case. We could see him talking to a couple of people through a hung mesh curtain. I suggested to Anna to take the brochure and ask him to sign it. She got half way before loosing her bottle and running back to me. Caught her and we went together - Russell had noticed our antics and smiled as we walked up. I told him that Anna had started piano lessons because of him (quite true, the school had found her singing Barcelona in the school playground and suggested piano lessons) Russell reached over the curtain above him to get the brochure. He asked Anna her name and age and very kindly put 'To Anna, keep playing the piano, love Russell' right across the front of her programme. Anna cannot now wait until next term to show her piano teacher. (Interestingly enough, Anna has now informed me that she preferred seeing Russell to going to see the Dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum - for Anna, that is quite a statement!) Thank you again Russell.
The orchestra eventually came back all dressed up in their white dinner suits. The night started with the overture to Die Fledermaus before Dominic Wheeler (conductor) announced that the whole programme had been changed as now the Spitfire Display would happen. Carolyn Grace put on a very good display. She made the mistake of coming over to meet people afterwards - there was a queue of people wanting her to sign their brochures of at least fifty all evening. Carolyn is not used to being one of the celebrities, and she certainly deserved the round of applause and flowers when she came on to the stage at the end! Fair play to Carolyn for keeping the Spitfire when her husband Nick died driving too fast in a car accident leaving her with two very small children.
The evening then continued in the usual way classical evenings do until the interval. The soprano Christine Bunning was very good. During the interval, we could hear Russell warming up. At the start of the second half, there was one more orchestral piece played, then on came Russell waving. The whole place went mad. Not having seem him live before, I was amazed at his 'electricity' is the only way I can describe it. He started with Grenada, with a smile at the end of the first long note, then Carouso, Funiculi,Funicula finished with Volare, which started with him jumping on top of one of the speakers and finished with him shaking peoples hands at the front. Anna joined in with him and the amazing thing is that Russell actually heard her and gave her a look. At the end, it was very funny, because Russell was still on the floor meeting the fans when the last high note was due and William Hayward had to make the orchestra wait while Russell rushed back up to the stage, ran to the middle, had a sip of water, before finishing it off! Russell said that was it but that he might be back later.
We continued with the usual Last Night of the Proms theme with the soprano coming on in a big white dress to sing Rule Britannia and then she started off Jeruslem, when this figure (Russell) appeared beside her to help her finish it off. The soprano looked surprised and the conductor (Dominic Wheeler had taken over by then) turned around to see where this noise was coming from! When they had finished singing, the conductor said that he really did not know what was happening next tonight! Finally, Russell and Caroline (soprono) came on together with flags to sing Land of Hope and Glory. Russell then threw his flag into the crowd with the usual melee happening. Fireworks started and that was the end.
Anna reached her limit ten minutes from the end and tears started - she did well considering it was past ten o'clock. We had a wait before getting out of the gate - the police did a good job considering there were at least 10,000 people there.
It was a fantastic day. Anna loved her first concert - a very hard act to follow. It will be hard to explain that you do not usually meet the star or that he turns out to be a such a kind person! We are lucky to have Russell.

Great review Bullpup, lovely for your daughter to encourage her music. Russell gives so much of himself to his fans. I'm wondering if he will be meeting fans after his concerts in Nov/Dec - seems too much to expect, he will be exhausted

Dear me Tony. You must be sick to your stomach!!
Thank you again for all you efforts, and for taking the time to keep us updated. It means a lot
Thanks for the review Sam. I was wondering how it had all gone. So glad that you and your daughter had such a great time. I still remember the first time I met him, it took me about a week to come back down to earth again!!!!

Sam that was a wonderful, wonderful review, thank you so much.
I love reading the run-up to a concert as well as the event, but thats probably cos thats the way I do them....starting with what I had for breakfast!!!
I always think seeing Russell live is a complete 'DAY' event, as the day gets more and more exciting building up to the actual appearance.
So happy for Anna, and yourself of course, meeting Russell is always special, even for those who have experienced it before.
Well done!!!
Angela x
ps. Lovely name, ANNA, we nearly had one but got AARON instead!!
