at home we've got Charlottes classical albums and i bought her pop album. they are both very good, but on personal preference i prefer her pop style. i'm not to good with female classical singers, although charlotte and hayley are my faves above katherine jenkins and the older ladies |

She's definatley changed direction - maybe her 'good' living has played it's part on her vocal abilities (either that or the money) |

Hi Rainy,
Nice to see you here, I agree with you, i much prefer her as a pop artist, i am not a great lover of female classical singers they sometimes sound abit piercing. |

my sister gave me a copy of tissues and issues (i think i've got the name right!), but i haven't listened to it yet. i will get round to it. i could always put it on in the car, but i'm not sure if it will induce road rage or not |

I've not listened to Charlotte's latest albums, but I do like her new musical career direction. I'm uncertain about her lifestyle but being the same age as Charlotte, well 3 months younger, its just typical teenage/young person's idea of having fun, getting drunk and just purely having a good time. I personally don't go out and get drunk, I don't drink at all or smoke, but I've been out with friends and saw them drunk, and its like the norm in a teenager/young person's eyes really. Its because Charlotte is famous and gets the press following her everywhere that makes her look like she does nothing but go out drinking.
I do like Dream A Dream that Charlotte did in her younger years with a young lad, who I don't know the name of, and a couple of her classical songs have been on Classic FM TV, and I've enjoyed them! _________________ <div>Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves. I think the press are a bit hard on her, like you say she is only being a normal young adult. Suppose that is what happens when you become famous you give up the right to be scandalous!!!!!

I only have one of Charlotte's CDs, the 1st one, Voice of an Angel. I got it shorty after it came out, either in 1998 or 99. However, I haven't cracked the cd case for several years now. It is amazing to see how her appearance has changed over the years. |

 | I think this is one of the pitfalls when you become a child star you have no privacy to try out the norm in growing up. Its sad really cos you need that space as a young teenager. Mind you Charlotte seems to have coped with it all and her feet are still on the ground. Cant say which I prefer style wise. She was an incredible child classical singer, but also is a very good pop singer. Lets hope that the pop doesnt destroy the classical aspect of her voice. I did read an article saying that this can happen. |

I agree, she doesn't seem to let it bother her! As I say, I'm the same age as Charlotte and its the norm for our age! I don't drink or go to clubs so I suppose I'm abnormal in this sense really, but it is the norm! _________________ <div>Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves. Charlotte seems really unaffected by her fame - maybe because she's grown up with it, but she comes across in interviews as being very grounded. |

I agree Xcept, considering she has been in the limelight since such a young age she definately has her head screwed on. |
