There is news of the new album and a Royal Albert Hall concert in September at http://www.johnbarry.org.uk/news.shtml

Do all you can to see the Boys in concert! They're fabulous, and I understand (from a Tenor Wife) that the new material is "brilliant!"

Here is some more information on the new album, ie., track list and title:

http://www.johnbarry.org.uk/news.shtml

Rainy, there IS a new DVD being released as well, and I can only assume that it will feature at least some, if not all, of the new CD's songs.

The new DVD will be recorded in August in Germany, but from what they've said ('These are set to be the biggest TTT shows of the summer, with new music, new sets, a huge light show AND orchestra') it could well be that this two special concerts in Hamburg are very much alike the RAH gig. Just speculation though... but I'll be able to tell you what will be on the DVD after the concert. Laughing

Re the tracklisting... I haven't posted it in the News here as it's still not sure whether it's confirmed or not. So for now I'd take it as an unofficial listing. Very Happy As you can see most of the songs are taken from movie soundtracks:

1 Just to see each other again
2 Les choristes - The Choir
3 Here's to the heroes - Dances with wolves
4 We have all the time in the world - James Bond: On her majesty's secret service
5 Boungoirno principessa - Live is beautiful
6 There'll come a day
7 Places - Out of africa
8 You only live twice - James Bond: You only live twice
9 Tick all the days off one by one
10 Who wants to live forever - Highlander
11 Somewhere in time - Somewhere in time
12 The gladiator suite (Now we are free & Il gladiatore) - Gladiator

'Les choristes', 'Here's to the heroes', 'We have all the time in the world', 'Boungoirno principessa', 'There'll come a day' and 'Who wants to live forever' are already part of the current show and those are REALLY great renditions. So I'm sure - IF this will really be the tracklisting of the new album - it's gonna be a great CD, although most of the songs appear to be very melancholic. Smile

'Who wants to live forever' is definitely my second favourite TTT song at the moment. And their version is soo much different from Russell's, but just as great. Very Happy

Nadine, can you tell us about it, or is it more of a pm topic? I'm really curious about how you came to be on staff here. I hope that you don't think I'm being too nosy.
Thanks,
Becky
