Classical?

It's hard trying to define crossover - it seems such a fuzzy genre! I suppose all categorisations are subjective (just look at the "Best Rock Group" noms for the Brits this year!). I'd class Josh Groban as crossover. I think it depends on how much exposure you've had to what is classed as "proper" classical music as to what your opinion is.

Glad you don't regret guying the album, Nicola, even if it's not your crossover norm! Very Happy

After listening to Patrizio sing "Stand Up" (for the champions) - one of the songs for the World Cup, I think his voice has classical potential, but he's passionate about crooning. I've heard him sing "O Sol O Mio" acapella at his concert and on the bonus disc of "The Italian", so I guess he could come under the crossover category.
