My fav album is Pure, simply because it was the first I'd listened to. No matter how many others I listen to I go back to this again and again. Very Happy

I've chossen Pure for one simple reason really. As stupid as it sounds I've not listened to the albums that Hayley has released yet! I love Pure though. Its relaxing and enjoyable to listen to, in some respects, its an album you can listen to whatever mood you're in, whether its stress or upset or happy and excited!

'Pure'. I have all of her albums and the other three and bland. For people that have only heard 'Pure'... you're not missing much.

I love Hayley, but I am still waiting for her to find her footing. She seems to be all over the place with her material at the moment. Odyssey is quite boring, but her voice has matured. I guess it's worth giving it a listen to see how much the voice has developped. Unsurprisingly, Odyssey hasn't been a huge success (at least not as much as 'Pure'). I hope she does better with her next album.

I don't think there are many songs out there to suit Hayleys voice. I think that is her problem. I think she should get a song writer, Sarah Class wrote a wonderful song for her on 'Pure' ('Across The Universe Of Time').

I have all four albums and agree with everyone else so far that Pure is the best. I love them all but Hayley's voice had matured sufficiently to make the overall album better that the two NZ releases. Odyssey is lovely but lacks dynamics. Pure really is crossover at its best.

Totally in agreement with Roger. Although, I think Pure is Hayley at her best, not at crossovers best Smile Smile Smile

I haven't played Odyssey since I first listened to it Sad I've attempted it a few times but when I go to put a track on, I look at the tracklist and can't find a song I'd like to have on, so it comes back out of the CD player. Was really disappointed with that album Sad

Pure, you can put on again and again. I still listen to that album when I want to chill out or just listen to an amazing voice.

From when I last saw Hayley live singing "Odyssey" songs her voice has matured and become even more "pure" and angelic. Simply heavenly. Shocked

Still, I enjoy the material on "Pure" the best of all her albums. Wink

"Odyssey" and the other two have good material, but as of yet, "Pure" is unbeatable! Very Happy

I'm another who has only heard Pure and Odyssey. It was a bit of a tough decision. I think that Pure is great because it was my introduction to Hayley Westenra, but had to choose Odyssey (the only one so far, I see!).
I think her voice is sounding better as she matures and some of the song choices on there are amazing. The duet with Andrea Bocelli is brilliant! The No.5 Aria on there is a great example of her vocal talent too. Can't wait for another album Very Happy

I have to go for Pure as it's the only one I own. I also think it's a beautiful album. I especially love singing along to 'Never say goodbye' and 'Dark waltz' which are definetly my favourites.

I can't choose!
I just love Odyssey and Pure, I could'nt pick one over the other.
Pure is great it's just got so much to it..... i dont know how to describe it, it's just beautiful.
But,
Odyssey is stunning in it's own right! and i just love it!! It's got a really personal touch and alot of imotion and Hayley sings so beautifuly (as always). Odyssey covers even more styles and has a duet with Andrea. Which is great because combing Pure and Odyssey together you get a really wide range of styles, I think Hayley does them all next to perfectly.

I cant possibly pick one, because each album has somthing the other dosent!

(I haven't commented on the two previous albums, because unfortunatly i havent got them Crying or Very sad (Yet!) I'm saving up really hard though, so i hope to get them as soon as i can!
from the clips that i have heard i know i'm going to just love them! (but i love everything Hayley ever sings anyway! ) Smile
