Hi
I just wanted to say how FANTASTIC Amici were at Classic response

they sang Nella Fantasia and Aranjuez with new member Bruno doing a

solo bit at the end

This was the debut for new member bruno

afterwards they spent ages chatting and sigining autographs

I didn't get the opportunity to see them when they came to Perth recently. I have their DVD where they sing Nella Fantasia and Aranjuez, and they're superb - can just imagine how much better it was seeing them live.

I agree, they were great. I was very impressed with Bruno; fantastic voice and rather easy on the eye too Wink

Excellent choice for a replacement, I think.

I'm looking forward to hearing the new addition to Amici. I've been out of the loop for a while and wonder if there is a new album in the making?

Hi Jeanie,

We have had some sneak previews of the group with Bruno, on a few radio and TV shows and of course some people saw them at Classic Response too. At the moment though they are preparing for a UK tour, starting on the 10th May, so the UK fans are all very excited and eagerly awaiting hearing a full concert in this new chapter for Amici. From what we have heard, it is sure to be magical.

As for the album, during a recent radio interview the band mentioned that they were already planning and working on ideas for the third album, so watch this space!

Thanks Jo....

I'll have to wait for the new album to hear Bruno with the group....From what I hear, it will be worth the wait. I just recently purchased my umteenth copy of 'The Opera Band'. I seldom go a day without hearing a part of one of the albums....I continue to be in awe of the sound they produce. I'll be anxious to hear about this current tour. I'm very happy for the English fans.

I was in Dover several years ago to visit friends and I thought about making another trip to England this year, however, when I checked on the price that they are predicting air line tickets from the US to Europe, I seriously doubt my finances will allow me to make a trip this year..........so, I guess.....I'll just wait until they come up with a 3rd album.

Jeanie - I will join you in the wait... I had to go to Europe about 2 month ago and I will be seeing the 'price' for quite some time!

By the way I too tend to wear out the Opera Band CD - already am on my third... it is quite wonderful, isnt it...the arrangements are so beautiful - at the moment Nimrod tends to give my spirit wings.
I hope Amici will be able to do something like this again! I am sure Bruno is a perfect addition and am looking forward to hearing him in the lineup!

Novice,Yes, the OP is wonderful.....I found them by accident. I was in Amazon.com looking for a string group called 'Amici' and read about the Amici forever OPERA Band.......The name alone peeked my interested, so I ordered online from Amazon UK a couple of years ago. .......I've never been sorry I took a chance strickly because of the name. I would dearly love to hear Amici in person...I thought that when they toured the US I might have the opportunity, however, I live in the western part of Texas and they didn't get close to me, at least not close enough for me to spend the amount of money and time to go to them. I can't imagine what it cost those from England and Australia that follow them. I check in the Amici forum from time to time and have discovered that some of those guys follow them everywhere-and often. Maybe one of these years they will come to Dallas or Houston.........still a long way from where I am, but I could manage that. However, my age might have something to do with going to a concert....I'm older than dirt....and don't travel too much anymore. Still have good ears, however, and music has always been a passion.
