From the Radio Times website:

"FRIDAY 07 APRIL

Friday Night Is Music Night

7:30pm - 9:15pm BBC Radio 2

Live from the Pentland Theatre, London, Aled Jones presents the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Robert Ziegler. With special guests Russell Watson, Martin Taylor and Jack Emblow."

I can't see anywhere about applying for tickets yet - but maybe people want to keep an eye out. The only probelm is, it is way up in the north of London, rather than at the Mermaid!

That's OK - I actually got it from this enormous long URL!!!

or go to the Radio Times site - http://www.radiotimes.com/ go to radio, go forward on the date to April 7th, then to time 7.00.pm and click on FNIMN on radio 2 - a little box should come up with the info in.

Wish it was at the Mermaid. That was so easy to get to last time. I think his presenting skills just get better and better.

Well Bonita..... Is it anything to do with Russell formerly doing FNIMN and then having to cancel to do JTTOU.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, the plot thickens, I had this email today from BBC. (FNIMN)

Dear Val,
Many thanks for your e-mail. At this stage I can inform you that subject
to Russell's busy schedule he does hope to be with us on 7th, but I
would keep an eye on the website to make sure, as he is in high demand
it's possible this could change. Hope this helps!
Kind regards
BBC Concert Orchestra

So we are all as confused as ever. Confused

I don't know - it is indeed confusing. I had booked on behalf of a group of us back whenever it was that Russell was on before and left for JTTOU, as Aled was presenting then also. I am on the BBC mailing list anyway. I, and I assume everyone else, got a letter telling me that Russell was no longer on and asking if we still wanted tickets. We did, and went, and that was when Sissel was on. Incidentally the theatre was full in spite of Russell pulling out.

I knew about Aled presenting this one, and it was also on a list the BB sent me some time back, but it is such along way for most of us, we all hesiated over booking. Then the others said no as we are going to St Pauls on April 3rd anyway for the Rutter Requiem. Then I thought "go on girl" (or the equivalent Wink ) and had noticed that it was not at any time advertised on the FNIMN site, and just assumed there would be tickets. So answered the BBC info list I had been sent - i.e. e-mailed back to the address given, and got the reply I quoted. So how they filled it up, I don't know, because I have been keeping an eye on the official site and I am sure that it has not been advertised. And they must have filled it up without knowing who was performing.

Anyway, looks as if we shall all be listening and not attending, whoever it is performing!
