I will add Australian support act for Il Divo- Kane Alexander to this list. He was fantastic.
I posted in a separate thread about him- a newspaper article and various links.
this will be his website when it is up and running- just the mailing list at the moment.
www.kanealexander.com.au
but you can hear a couple of sample songs from Kane at www.allegromusic.com and there is a biography on there about him. No idea if songs featured though on this site are to be on his debut album.
Debut album coming out April 30th, can be pre-ordered through www.sanity.com.au
www.hmv.com.au
or Virgin Megastores.
Anyway read the link I posted with the newspaper article- titled Kane Alexander- Australian support act for Il Divo. Very interesting article, he is the youngest student ever to enrol at the Victorian College of the Arts- he was just fourteen when he came down and he combined his musical studies, with his normal studies, being a boarder down here, he is originally from country Victoria, a town about five hours or so drive from Melbourne. |

In the UK there is a new kid on the block called Jon Christos. He's a fully trained opera singer and more classical than crossover, but has the most beautiful voice. His debut album Northern Light is very good indeed. Go to his website www.jonchristos.com and you can hear some of his songs. For a 29 year old he is amazing. |

My favorite artist, Joshua Payne, isn't really a new kid on the block. He released his debut album in 2004, "Your Love, My Home" under Universal/Verve Music. He, also, performed a duet with Petra Berger which was released in the Netherlands last year and was voted one of People Magazine's sexiest men alive in November of 2004. Back in April of last year Decca Music/ Australia released a lovely compilation of male vocal ballads from some of the most beautiful voices in the world entitled "Canto: The Spirit of the Voice" on which Joshua is featured along with Russell Watson and many others. I'm hoping eventually you'll include his music and biography here at this website. He's a phenomenal talent and one of the sweetest souls I've ever known.

Florent Pagny is one of the most influential french composers at the moment.
