Russell's new album "The Ultimate Collection" has made it's way in to the ClassicalX office today - I know many people are interested in hearing about the OTHER bonus track "I have nothing" - so keep checking back for a review shortly |

Wonderful review Tony, thank you.
I actually can't remember the song, having seen the movie only once there is nothing that really stands out for me. I will be looking forward to hearing Russell sing this song, for me it will be like a first time I have heard it.
Russells voice can always make my heartstrings break, so regardless of the backing, I know it will happen anyway. _________________ Music Makes The World Go Round, especially when it's THE VOICE. |

Thx for the review Tony, it was a nice read.
I've really hoped that it is not the Whitney song, because I hate it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to listening to it myself and to being proved wrong. |

Hmm, seems I feel the same way, maybe its because Whitney is singing it. I hope Russell has a new style with the song, I think he might, he said he likes to put his own stamp on a song, we'll see. I love Can't Help Falling In Love, though it to me sounds just like Elvis, except for certain parts of the song. I do love Russell singing it!!! |

It took a while, but now I have Nothing by Russell is one of my favourites! I just wish it wasn't so far down on the album, since we have all of the others on other CDs.Maybe he will make a single- it has possibilities.

I think Russell's version is absolutely brilliant - he's got a powerful voice which he can adapt to opera, ballads, rock, etc., and this song shows the range he's got.
This one is an excuse to sing along - loudly! (always checking first that there's no-one listening!) I agree with Mimi that it's too far down the cd.
The man's a genius. |

Hi Anniebee
Russell a genius - ABSOLUTELY !!
It took a few listens of this song to get used to Russell singing it, and now I love it.

| Hmm, even after listening to it for I dunno how many times I don't think it's one of his best pieces. Might be because of my general aversion to this song ... but then again ... if he was singing it a capella, it'd be great. It's that synthy pop arrangement I can't get used to. |
