I am a new member, and I want to say how great the Home Page seemed
to me when I first typed in 'ClassicalX .com 'amd it appeared.

I have been trying to edit my profile, but I do not know what half the
headings mean. I know I am computer illiterate (I am very old), but
please, is there an introductory list somewhere for people like me?

The Home Page is full of interest - pictures, headings of news items, and so on - and when I saw it I knew I had to join, thankyou.

Then, on Tuesday, what a feast of news about Russell Watson. It appears wonderful to people like me, who have had to put up with a large empty space on Russell's own website!!!

Rosemary, welcome to the site, it's great to have you here. I hope you'll stay around to chat with us Very Happy
the only other thing you need to edit on your profile is to choose an avatar. You'll find that option at the end of your profile page, under the heading AVATAR CONTROL PANEL. click ont he box that says SHOW GALLERY, choose the image you want to use by clicking underneath (so the circle goes black) to finish click Submit. you should have your avatar! If you have any problems with it let me know, it doesn't take long to sort out. Very Happy

Hi, I'm new to this site. It looks great especially for such a new site. Have spent some time browsing through the different sections but am having problems with the gallery. All I get is a row of blank boxes. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Thanks
Dee

Do all other images appear OK? Like the header, avatars, etc?

Your browser may be BLOCKING ALL images from ClassicalX. Are you using Yahoo / google toolbar and what is the browser you are using (Internet Explorer, firefox, etc)?

I've been having a play to try and fix this but not having any luck. When I first log in I get the headers and avatars. If I go into the gallery I can see the first picture only but then I lose all the headers etc. I'm using internet explorer.

Cheers

Hi Daydreamer, the header in the gallery section should be the 'generic' header that is used in the homepage and not the header of the artist whose gallery you are in (same for the news). Is that what you see or is it something different?

Hi Xboss, Yes the header in the gallery section was the same as the home page but now that I've left the gallery the headers have dissappeared again. When I first logged I could see all the pictures on the home page but after entering the gallery I have now lost some of those pictures e.g. the ones accompanying the discographies. vey strange.

Hi Daydreamer, sorry to butt in Embarassed but I had a similar problem on some sites when I was using a certain type of firewall software. You could try to change that and see if it helps. Smile
