Hi Jeanne  Here's to the Heroes is one of my favourites too. I seem to remember reading that Mario sang it at the opening ceremony for the Athens Games. Dottie and Gina will know more about that than me.

I'm greek and I've been in three concerts of Mario here in Greece during the last years. He's really amazing! If you want more information about his life and CDs ask me, I'll do my best.

Here's to the heros was the song that made my ears prick up and first take interest in listening to Mario I've just bought the Follow your heart cd

| Follow Your heart is my favourite Mario CD, Vi. Sometimes I dream has some nice ones on it too.Like Vincero-Perdero,and Buonjiorno Principessa. He also sings The Rose on one of his others (can't pronounce it).Thats nice too. |

I just noticed that Mario's "Dance" (track 11) is the same as Magia Sara on Russell Watson's AM CD  |

It is the same tune, but doesn't it sound different when Mario sings it. I think we'd all enjoy dancing with Mario.

Hi Jeanne
Mario has said he would like to perform in Australia and I truly believe we will see him in concert within the next few years. When he does come, it will be very very sweet !!

As far as I know from greek magazines Mario will perform this year in Greece, Cyprus and USA. But sooner or later he'll visit Australia too,you can count on this!
He really respects his audience. Two years ago he performed in my town in an open theatre like greek ancient ones. Suddenly it started to rain but he kept on singing and joking after each song. Nobody left the theatre and we all had the feeling that he would keep on singing even if the rain wouldn't have stopped within 20 minutes. It was really very sweet! Sometimes he also dances on stage when the song is rythmic like 'Amado mio' or so.
As I can see you've heard his two latest CDs from Sony Classical.Hes previous one
'Little moments', duet with Deborah Myers, is also very nice and contents songs in english, spanish,italian and one half english half greek. Maybe you should hear it too. That's all for now, next time I'll write you about his life. Questions are wellcome.

Mario's beloved teacher Alfredo Kraus taught him this. |

well I think I made a mistake. I just translated the greek title but as I can see now on the cover the english title is 'Short stories' The Acropolis concert. If you haven't heard about it let me know.
