There is no confirmation yet but I have just heard that the show Kristina is to come to the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 14th April 2010. Anybody who saw it in New York will probably tell you it is well worth going to see. Just have to keep eyes and ears open for confirmation and of whether Russell will appear again as Karl.

| Thanks for the info Jill. If they are bringing it to London they would be best having Russell play Karl |

Although, obviously with no OS now to confirm anything we can still find information and this came on a google alert. Russell will appear in Kristina at the RAH on 14th April. Tickets will be available from the RAH website "during January".
A new CD recorded in September last year at Carnegie Hall will be released on the 12th April. |

Although there is still no confirmation from any source, there is now a possibility of an additional performance, the date of which is questionable.
The RAH appear not to have the full information available but icethesite are suggesting two dates, i.e. 14th and 15th. However, Russell is due to appear in Dublin on the 15th and even he can't be in two places at once. |

London - Royal Albert Hall
14-04-10
Russell will be taking to the stage at The Royal Albert Hall as Karl Oskar in the hit musical Kristina.
Kristina is the inspiring story of one woman and her family’s struggles in Sweden and their subsequent emigration to America in search of a better life. With stirring music by Benny Andersson and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA fame, this moving musical production has won awards, critical acclaim and is the most popular theatre piece in Swedish history.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 21st January.

| I agree about the reviews. The Guardian wasn't particularly enthusiastic about his performance saying the audience was mostly ABBA and Mamma Mia fans. There were responses querying whether the person had been to the same performance. |

Hi Jillwithajay
I think that you made an interesting comment about Russell`s performance at the RAH. I am not sure that the newspaper reviewer liked the musical very much judging by his comments! We all know that Russell was excellent as always! I hope that maybe the Kristina musical might tour the UK one day you never know!
From looking at the rest of Russell`s Summer Concerts at the moment as they are too far for me to get to from Bristol!!! I will have to wait for the Uk tour!!! Do you know when he will be touring the UK?
Best wishes

Hi Catthedog, did you go to the Kristina musical?
At the moment Russell is just doing the summer concerts. If and when a UK tour is announced it will have it's own thread in the forum and all concert dates will be added to Russell's concert section. |

Hi Xrainy
Thanks for the reply. In answer to your question I did not go to the Kristina Musical Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I would have liked to have goone as I am sure it would have been amazing!
Thanks for the info about any future Russell UK Tours! I will keep an eye on the forum!!I was thinking maybe we should ask his new management if he should have an Offical Fan Club? What do you think? I feel it would be a great idea?
All the best

Hi Catthedog,
Russell's Official Site did have a forum but it closed in January at around the same time Russell changed his record label and management company.
We were assured that they were working on a new site but, as yet, nothing much appears to have happened regarding the introduction of a new forum.
We all do our best at sharing whatever information we get but there wasn't a "Fan Club".
Watch out for Russell's new CD later in the year and, hopefully, as xrainy says, a tour in 2011. |
