I love Deep River too. I think my favourite is The Rose.

I've also got his album Benedictus with Rhys Meirion, which I'm still getting used to. I do prefer Bryn singing on his own. Hasn't he got such a variety of albums.

Molly, have you seen Bryn in concert or any of his operas?

He's done The Rose Question I totally love that song. One of my all time favourites. I think I'll have to find it somewhere and listen to it. I wanna know what it's sounds like. Smile

Hi Nadine Very Happy

I'm listening to Bryn's "The Rose" now - it's just so beautiful. Bryn brings a gentle richness to it. Are you able to get his Simple Gifts album? Mario's is fabulous too and it's on his The Acropolis Concert album. I got it from Greek Shops in the US.

Thanks, Trish. I'll go and try to find it. I'm sure I can purchase both albums from an online shop. Luckily we've got the internet! Very Happy

I'm sad I missed his Christmas concert at the Royal Albert Hall, just not convenient to travel to at that time. Just hope he does another one this year, of course he has his own music festival in Wales, might make a nice break.

Im new to this classical malarky but Bryn Terfel is one of my FAVE classical artists, he just has the most wonderful baritone voice, could just listen to it for hours!

I also had to miss his Christmas Concert at the RAH as i had other things going on, but im hoping i'll get to see him live some time this year Very Happy

Bryn is one of my favourites. He has the best base baritone voice I've ever heard. He also has a great personality. I have seven of his albums and I love the one called "Bryn" the best. I've seen him on TV a number of times but never live. Next time he comes to Australia, I'll try to see one of his shows.

What's not to love about the big man?? Like J said, I was also a little disappointed with 'Simple Gifts', for me, 'Bryn' offered so much more variety.

Would love to see him live sometime this year.. going to have to start saving some pennies!

Kerry xx

Ooo, I luurve Bryn Terfel's voice!! It's so yummy Very Happy Swing Low Sweet Chariot is one of my faves. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to listen to Simple Gifts yet so can't offer an opinion at the moment.

One album I really thought was great was the musicals album. I can't remember what it's called as I only have it on tape, but it's one of the best sing-a-long albums I own! (Although whether you'd want to be in the room with me when I'm singing along is questionable.)

I've got a few of Bryn's Albums, like lorisak I think he has the best bass baritone around. I also love him singing the Welsh songs with a welsh male voice choir accompaniament. Stirring stuff.

No I havnt. I've only just really started to listen to Bryn properly. I had Simple Gifts for christmas.

I'm really primarily a "Tenor" lover but I can recognise that Bryn has a fabulous voice and there is something about it that I do like - and the more I listen the more I like. Smile

I love Deep River, She was Beautiful, The Rose and Ave Verum Corpus (Mozart).

I dont have any of his other albums - YET! Smile

Love Molly xx

On St. David's Day, lets all wish Bryn and others performing in tonights concert best wishes for a very special evening. The Millenium Stadium is one place I would love to see a concert, I bet the atmosphere is electric. Laughing Laughing Laughing
