Ansell takes a dive

Opera singer Jonathan Ansell is made of stern stuff. The 27 year old has turned into a bit of a dare devil of late. During a sun drenched holiday to Capri this week the tenor was dared to dive off a cliff.

Ansell The former X Factor contestant agreed - but only if someone coughed up £1,000 to the *** Cancer Care Charity.

Jonathan tells me: 'When I looked over the edge I thought 'Oh my God what I have put myself up for? but by then everyone was watching and clapping, I would have looked a complete coward if I had gone back then. So I just gritted my teeth, locked my arms and jumped off head first and managed just about to stay alive. I will not be repeating the experience any time soon though I hope!'

These feats of daring on water seem to be becoming a bit of a habit for Jonathan because he is doing the Round the Island boat race today at the Isle of Wight for *** Cancer Charity as well.

He worries me sometimes, he is a daredevil, but that's what he's like, it's part of him. He's crazy. But gorgeous with it LOL

He really is crazy and needs to think first, but he will only say - 'It was for a good cause though, wasn't it ?' - been there before with him on that one Laughing
