It's mainly singing live that I've heard him. The guy has a very nice, pure voice. Not been able to get much of his stuff online as yet though.

Yes he did sing well. I just can't find myself warming to him though. I don't know why, as he obviously has talent. A good voice and accompanied himself very well on the piano. I am sure he will do well.

New show

'Hot on the heels of Strictly Come Dancing comes a brand new entertainment show - Just the Two of Us. Pairing celebrities with internationally renowned singers, eight couples will compete in a duet singing showdown complete with live band, a panel of judges and viewer voting to see who will be crowned Just the Two of Us champions.

Senior Vocal Coach and advisor to the BBC for the celebrities is Jon Christos the new Classical Tenor singing sensation who has just released his new album Northern Light to critical acclaim.

Jon already has national success through coaching Richard Fleeshman to major success in ITV's Soapstar Superstar.

Stars that Jon will be looking after are:

Fiona Bruce and Alexander O'Neal

Nicky Campbell and Beverley Knight

Gaby Roslin and Martin Fry

Matt Allwright and Jocelyn Brown

Sian Reeves and Russell Watson

Mark Moraghan and Natasha Hamilton

Penny Smith and Curtis Stigers

Chris Fountain and Jo O'Meara

Hosting the event will be the UK's most glamorous presenting couple - Vernon Kay and Tess Daly. "It's going to be a cracking few weeks of top family entertainment!" Just the Two of Us is being created by the team behind Strictly Come Dancing. Each night the competing couples (of singer and celebrity) will have to sing in a variety of styles including country and western, musical, swing, rock, ballad, pop and soul.

They will be judged by a panel of industry experts and then viewers will have the chance to vote for their favourite. But, in a new twist, once the losers have been announced, the couple polling next lowest will have to hit the campaign trail and visit the region where they gained the least number of votes, taking couples out across England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland to try and convince people to vote for them next time.'

Curtis Stigers and Martin Fry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, I know Curtis Stigers (altough I'd have never thought that he's still 'alive' in show biz Confused ) and Russell, and that's it then. Rolling Eyes Laughing

You are all too young - or I am too old! Embarassed

Martin Fry was the lead singer of ABC in the 80s, Curtis is an american singer songwriter who plays a mean sax, Beverley Knight, Alexander O'Neal and Jocelyn Brown are soul singers. Not sure but wasn't Jo O'Meara in S Club?

Natasha Hamilton - got me there! Atomic Kitten maybe?

I wouldn't say it's an age thing. That music is just not what I usually listen to, so I don't know the names.

Yes Jo O'Meara is from S Club 7 and Natasha is from Atomic Kitten! Looks like an interesting line up of singers (and celebrities) - I wonder who the judges will be?
