POP GOES THE OPERA . . .

The four stars of Amici forever continue to enchant audiences around the world with their inspiring and unique sound that brings together the beauty and timeless appeal of classical music with the fun and sexiness of pop. They enthralled Australian audiences during their first tour here in 2004, selling out concert halls around the country and driving Australian sales of their debut album The Opera Band toward triple platinum.

Since then sopranos Jo Appleby and Tsakane Valentine and tenors Geoff Sewell and David Habbin have recorded the group's 2nd album, Defined. Released in Australia earlier this year, Defined has already sold in excess of 50,000 copies in Australia, graced the ARIA top 10 and is well on the way to equalling the 160,000 + sales of their debut album. It is a continuation of the group´s signature blend of updated classics plus tow brand new songs that are certain to be come favourites.

Singing everything from Beethoven to Rachmaninov, the group have chosen beautiful melodies that have withstood the test of time. Bringing their fresh, youthful and sophisticated perspective to a centuries-old music traditions, Amici Forever return to Australia in February.
