It's great that the tour is coming close to you Valentina, I hope you are able to attend as Geoff and the Incognito team are absolutely fantastic live, so I'm sure it will be a brilliant show.

I'm busy trying to persuade my bank manager that I can afford to come over myself, so you never know if I win the lotto I may just see you there too! Wink

Geoff Homeward Bound For Epic Adventure!

Geoff was super excited to board the plane in London yesterday heading to New Zealand for his tour of The Land of the Long White Cloud. He is looking forward to seeing lots of family, friends and fans at the shows and is very proud to be performing alongside his stunning and hugely talented Incognito Artists' colleagues Darren, Tim, Emma, Martin and Celia. It's certainly going to be a show to remember!

The lovely Elizabeth Marvelly, who duets with Geoff on his debut solo album Believe, will guest star, then Geoff and Incognito Artists will take the place by storm!

With only one week to, we're counting down the days.... don't miss it!

Pupils to sing with top tenor

SAINT Kentigern College’s school choir has sealed a part in a New Zealand concert with famous tenor Geoff Sewell.
The choir entered a performance tape at the last minute and won a part in the concert along with St Cuthbert’s College in Epsom to create Kentoris, a premier college choir.

The students will be joined by Mr Sewell and other artists at Auckland’s Aotea Centre to sing You’ll Never Walk Alone and When a Child is Born.

New Zealand-born Sewell is excited to be performing with young local talent. “It will be magical. I am very much looking forward to performing with these young stars of the future.”

Head of music at Saint Kents, Ross Gerritsen, says the choir is pleased with the result after recording its competition entry the day before the closing date and having little rehearsing time.

The concert will take place at the Aotea Centre on Saturday, February 28.

Geoff and his Incognito Artists colleagues have been having an awesome time whilst wowing the crowds during their New Zealand Tour. All the performers have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response from the audiences at the shows so far and have been thoroughly enjoying every moment. And as Geoff said, "If the audience enjoy themselves half as much as we do up on stage, then they'll have had a blast!"

Work is currently going in to a DVD of the Wellington show from the tour, so keep posted for more details of that and how to order it soon. In the meantime you can see some photographs from the show, taken by the renowned photographer who produced the stunning art work for Geoff's album cover, by clicking HERE

International Artists Wow Regent Audience

Geoff Sewell and Incognito Artists Review

The antecedents for last night's concert make interesting reading.

Geoff Sewell left New Zealand 12 years ago and formed Incognito Artists with his wife Simone Lanham. Over the years, the group has adopted several formats including Dancers incognito, Swing and Fusion and the well-known international opera sensation, Amici Forever.

Last Night's concert was a blend of various formats featuring artists who have appeared in professional productions of mega musicals such as Les miserables and Phantom of the Opera, musicals which no longer only rely on star power to draw their audience.

The programme was a mix of opera and popular standards and Geoff Sewell stood out with his stunning renditions of I Believe, How Great Thou Art, You'll Never Walk Alone and When A Child is Born - the latter two were accompanied by the Palmerston North Boys' High School choir. Sewell was also well matched by his company of artists.

Songs from the musicals, when out of context, are frequently disappointing, but Celia Graham and Tim Rogers' performance of the duet from Phantom of the Opera was unforgettably stirring, Emma Cliffords' All That Jazz sizzled and all the men shone in hits such as La Donna e Mobile.

Supporting the group was Elizabeth Marvelly, who had matured into a most capable artist sine she last appeared at the Regent in A Knight with a Dame back in 2006.

This was one concert where the programme was exactly what the audience had come to hear and they were generous in their appreciation. The artists responded warmly throughout their three hours on stage and wrapped up the concert with some enthusiastically received encores.

Star Helps Choir

STUDENTS at Saint Kentigern College were stars at the recent Incognito concert in Auckland and were thrilled to workshop with some of opera’s finest talents.

West Side Story actor Martin Crewes and Phantom of the Opera star Celia Graham watched in awe as star Geoff Sewell rehearsed with the students before their concert, which was held at the Aotea Centre.
