WEDNESDAY 10th SEPTEMBER
Hey Guys,
Well, August is well and truly over, I’m another year older, and we’re down to less than TWO WEEKS until the album goes on sale !
The last couple of weeks have certainly been busy. Promotions at schools and radio stations across Scotland, ‘Friday Night Is Music Night’, and my first ever public performance in Ireland, have all kept me well and truly occupied.
Not to mention the latest developments with me taking up a new sport ?! well, not quite. I’m thrilled to have been approached by promoter Frank Warren to record and perform the new anthem composed for the world of boxing, and look forward to the track entitled ‘The Prize’ being showcased globally.
In the meantime, I’m going to get stuck into my regional touring and media schedules for September. Be sure to keep an eye on the website for all the latest goss, and I'll be sure to keep you filled in as it all unfolds …
Cheers and Love,
WILL.

MONDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER
Hey,
It’s scary to think that Christmas cards are on sale already. It’s even scarier to think that this time next week, ‘A New World’ will be in stores across the UK !
Last week was full of more regional promotions, including a stint up in Newcastle; the very place where I began recording the album. It was such a great feeling popping back and taking a walk along the Quayside a year on. Reminded me of cool, crisp mornings, and crazy loud Saturday nights !
So, plenty to keep me busy as always, but the work was most definitely balanced out with the brilliant All Blacks win on Saturday. Well Done Boys !
Today, I start promotions in Wales. I’ll continue visiting various radio stations over the next few days, but will be back to London in time to perform ‘Nature Boy’ live on ‘Alan Titchmarsh’ this Friday. Be sure to check it out.
A special shout out to all the kids I’ve met at so many great schools across the UK. Thanks for having me. Keep the messages coming in !
Catch you later in the week …
Cheers and Love,
WILL.

WEDNESDAY 17th SEPTEMBER
Hello There,
FIVE DAYS ! Just five days until the album’s on sale.
My schedule is jam packed through this week and into next. Promotions up in Leeds, Sheffield, Stoke on Trent and Nottingham, will be keeping me busy today and tomorrow.
Then, ITV1’s ‘Alan Titchmarsh’ on Friday. Am really looking forward to the TV debut of ‘Nature Boy’, one of my personal favourite tracks from ‘A New World’.
More radio will be filling up my weekend, then next week kicks off with a spot on ‘BBC Breakfast’ Monday morning. A great opportunity, as well as being a good reason for this young man to get out of bed early !
So yeah, that’s the plan for the next few days. Throw something up on the forum at willmartin.net if the mood takes you. And, if you don’t know if you’ll make it into a store next week, then you may want to order the album online for dispatch on Monday …

Hope you have an excellent week, and I’ll be sure to write again on Release Day …
Cheers and Love,
WILL.

MONDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER
It wasn’t until my early teens that I grew out of those sleepless Christmas Eve’s.
The thought of ‘impending presents’ was enough to ensure that this young man would not reach dreamland, but instead would spend the hours counting down until morning.
Last night was a flashback to those restless nights. ‘BBC Breakfast’ was on the agenda for first thing today, and my I-might-sleep-through-my-alarm paranoia did a good job of keeping me awake. Not to worry though, as there was plenty of work to keep me occupied, with ‘A NEW WORLD’ IN STORES TODAY !!! It has certainly been a long time coming, but I hope people will feel that it was worth the wait.
Am looking forward to continued promotions here in the UK over the coming weeks, including the opportunity to come and sing at your place. Check out the link to Gumtree on the homepage …

In the meantime, enjoy the album, let me know what you think, and keep an eye on the website for announcements on upcoming appearances.
Cheers and Love,
WILL.

FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER
There are some things that you become accustomed to over time. But then there are those things that may never quite feel “normal”. I think that walking into a CD store, and hearing myself singing, is one of those things that most definitely fits into the latter category; the never-gonna-get-used-to-it category !
I’ve experienced it just the once this week. A mate of mine demanded I go with him into an ‘HMV’ because apparently, it was MY fault his Mum wanted my album. I couldn’t really argue with that, so I allowed myself to be dragged inside. I was in for a triple shock though, because in addition to seeing ‘A New World’ sitting up on the New Release rack, AND hearing it being played, I also saw that the counter was stocked high with the ‘HMV Choice’ magazine, upon the cover of which, sits me. Unreal.
This week has been good. Lots of prepping for the weeks ahead, including working through the hundreds of applications for me to “Sing for my Supper”. With well over a thousand requests in just the first few days, it would seem I’ll be eating well, and singing frequently, for some time.
Meanwhile, I’ll keep promoting the album. Manchester today, London tomorrow. We’ll see where I end up next week.
Thank you so very much to those of you who’ve already bought the album. I shall look forward to signing it for you when we next catch up. Enjoy !
Cheers and Love,
WILL.
