I'm not sure if this is mentioned anywhere else in the postings on the forum, but the Radio Times site says that Jonathan will be Aled's guest on Good Morning Sunday on October 5th. The programme is from 7.00.-9.00 Sunday morning on radio 2 - see website CLICK HERE and is on listen again for a week. The guest is usually interviewed after 8.00 am

This now appears to be confirmed. The GMS site now reads:
"And on Next Week's Show Aled chats to tenor singing sensation Jonathan Ansell, Marion Shoard discusses issues facing older people as part of the Life to Live campaign. And last ,but by no means least, Chick Yuill talks about current issues from a religious & ethical perspective, and offers the moment of reflection."

Thanks for the listen again link Di - great to know there is a fail safe in case of the worst happening - oversleeping! Heaven forbid!

Lovely interview! I enjoyed it very much!
Aled is a great interviewer - such great questions he asked - he is a joy!
Lovely to hear Down in the River to Pray on the radio - one of my favourites - not so keen on Chariots of Fire - but that's just me personally.
So pleased to hear it confirmed that O Holy Night will be on the new album in November!
Thanks Aled and Jonathan - lovely interview.

I'm glad Jon fans enjoyed it.
Last week's interview with Blake was probably easier for Aled as the fellows were live in the studio with him. This week he was in Manchester, having sung at a concert in Huddersfield Saturday night, so it was a phone interview which I suspect is not quite so easy, as you can't see and react to people's expression and there is not the same "contact". The music would have been selected by the producer, I imagine.
Anyway, all seems to have gone well, and Jon's fans seem to be satisfied! |
