Many of you may have been following the hit TV show Last Choir Standing and will have seen the City of Bath Male Choir reach the final stages of the competition only to leave last week.
Since leaving it seems they have been inundated with messages of support and requests for appearances....
Comments have also flooded in on the programme's website including a message from Bath's Stephen Bowman, a member of the band Blake, who performed on the show last week.
He said on the website: "I just had to say how sad I was they didn't make it through. I thought they performed brilliantly throughout and were a massive credit to the city of Bath which has a long history of fine music and many other excellent choirs."

Bejing handover left band bewildered
It wasn't only the Chinese waxworks who were left scratching their heads after Great Britain's ultra-naff Olympic handover in Beijing.
The classical boy band Blake – who were booked to perform at last Sunday's handover celebrations in London – were similarly bewildered.
"The whole thing was entirely bizarre," says Stephen Bowman, the band's bass baritone. "I mean: Leona Lewis standing on top of that weird contraption, that double-decker bus, David Beckham kicking a football – it was awful.
"Trying to be surreal is OK when it comes to British comedy but it was a bit much at the Olympics. I hope we do better than that in 2012, otherwise it will just be embarrassing. We've got a hard act to follow."

There's a photo of Blake in this week's (30 Sep) Hello Magazine (page 34) as they attend the opening of the Buddha Bar in London.

There's also a picture of Blake (all looking rather dashing) at the Michael Robert's book launch at the D&G party in London.

Seems like it's been a fun week for the Blake guys! |

Blake head off to Australia this weekend to promote their new album "And So It Goes". They will be appearing at various venues across the country - the hilight of which will be performing at the Melbourne Cup. Good Luck boys, hope you have a great time and get to introduce lots of new people to your music. |

The following article appeared in The Times today in their Celebrity Watch section....
Celebrity watch: Dame Helen Mirren and Russell Brand, Posh and Becks, Britney and Take That
See where they and others feature on the fame barometer
UP Blake
While thumbing through Hello!, CW was smug in the belief that it knew all that there was to know about the world of modern celebrity. Smug, that is, until it was stopped in its tracks by an interview with the modish new group “Blake”. Blake - whom CW truly mourns not learning of earlier - is a genuine, and overdue, novelty for our times: the world's first posh boy band! We cannot believe that we have not heard of it before.
Eschewing the usual line-up of “Mikeys”, “Lees” and “Ryans”, the band - named after the poet and artist William Blake, and so scoring an immediate ten Posh Points - comprises Jules, Stephen, Ollie and Dominic. That's 20 more Posh Points. (Or “Points du Posh”, as Blake would probably say, poshly.) They are all ex-public school choristers (60 Posh Points), who went to university with Prince William and Kate Middleton (90 Posh Points), and who count Keira Knightley and Dame Cilla Black among their fans (difficult to calibrate the true poshness here, given that Knightley isn't really a duchess, and Black originally comes from Liverpool, but that must count for at least 50 points - if only for not being liked by Amy Winehouse).
Having abandoned successful jobs in marketing (of course) to pursue musical careers, Blake's members are now looking forward to the release of their second album, And So It Goes, which is full of nice songs that posh people like, such as The Closest Thing To Crazy, Time To Say Goodbye and Chasing Cars, by Snow Patrol.
If the boys in Blake had been in Take That, they would have been called “Would You Mind Awfully Holding This For A Moment?” instead. Amazing. |

There's a great interview that Blake did with Claire Jackson from Musolife.com back in August this year (can't believe I've only just seen it)
