| I have studied quite a few of these poets either at A level or Degree level - in fact I think there's only 2 poets(Hood & Duffy) whose work I am not familiar with. I have been rereading some of the poems this week and I am very excited to hear what they sound like set to music. I am also keen to hear which ones Nick will actually be singing on. |

What would be some guesses from the peoms subject matter.
If applied to what we know about Nick as an artist, which of the peoms would be more his style?
Any thoughts? |

More information on the album.....
Nick will be singing 4 of the tracks:
Lord of the Winds
The Soldier
Crossing the Bar
Love Came Down At Christmas (with Jon Cristos, Elin Manahan Thomas & Juliette Pochin)
On his 3 solo tracks, he is accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and RSVP Voices.
So that's Tennyson, Brook, Rossetti & Coleridge for Nick. a fine selection of poets. |

I received my copy of Poetry Serenade. And I am so very glad I ordered it. All pieces are beautiful but as I am a fan of Nick, he does what he is so very good at! And still I am surprised again at just how versatile of an artist he is.
Congratulations to all involved - very beautiful and I wish that many more will discover the beauty of Poetry Serenade!! |

I have been listening to Poetry Serenade for a few days now and absolutely love it. Thank you Brian Knowles for setting these wonderful poems to music. Every song is so lovely, the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra sounded heavenly. I knew straight from the get go that I would enjoy this CD. Nick sounds fantastic and with the RSVP voices singing along makes it all the more beautiful. I really like the track "Night Mail" sung by the Brighton Festival Youth Choir, this is such a fun song to listen to. Elin Manahan Thomas, Juliette Pochin, & Jon Christos sang their songs beautiful as well. What a great Christmas gift this would be to give or to recieve. |
