Russell was on the sofa throughout The One Show having his interview split into parts, but even staying around to join in with the other guests (a Doctor and a bird enthusiast).

Russell was firstly asked about his health and the tumours. Russell discussed the finding of both tumours. First being after months worth of headaches and Dr’s visits finding nothing , going to LA and feeling intense pain on the plane and going to the hospital over there and getting a diagnosis of tumour after 40mins. Second being the emergence of the need to operate after his vision had practically gone and his temperature going up to almost 40degrees.

Next up was a Doctor on to discuss the new rise in TB. And spoke about the jabs we have as kids. And Russell said how he still has the mark on his arm from his jab. They also discussed misdiagnosis and Russell joined in there too as his first tumour (the headaches) were misdiagnosed as Just Stress.

Next was a clip about driving abroad, and Russell joked that when he knows he’s going to be driving on the wrong side of the road he’s spend a couple of weeks on Gran Tourismo (a car racing game) for practice. And he’s not a fan of roundabouts admitting he’s done a couple the wrong way. They then showed clips of scary roads around the world (ie 12 lanes around the Arc de Triomphe), using a cartoon car of Russell driving and Adrian and Christine (the presenters) in the back seat. Smile

After talking about driving abroad they talked about Russell going back to LA to record the new album at Capitol Studios(which is to hopefully be out in time for Christmas). And Russell said it’d be poignant going back there as that’s where the first tumour came to light. Adrian joked he should just do it in Birmingham then but Russell spoke of how it’s such a great atmosphere at Capitol because of all the late greats who have recorded there, (speaking on first name terms about Frank, Dean and Nat King Cole).

Next was a clip about Peregrin Falcons nesting in tall buildings around the UK. And came back to the sofa where Russell gave us this fact ‘There are No Peregrin’s in New Zealand and they are the most wide-spread of the raptors’ and Adrian assumed the bird man had told him that but in fact Russell had told him. Very Happy

Finally they spoke about Last Choir Standing and showed a clip of Russell praising the choirs for their professional standards. Adrian asked Russell how it is to be Mr Nasty. Russell said he’s not. And Adrian said you’ve got to make people cry. Russell spoke about how he doesn’t like the concept of shattering people’s dreams, then joked that how on other shows you only have one person waiting at your door that you’ve turned down, he’d have 50. Shocked Laughing

Glad you like. Didn't want people who missed or can't see the show to miss out completely. Altho I'll admit I had to watch it a couple of times over to get all the details properly. Sacrifices huh Laughing Laughing Wink

Russell was on the entertainment news of GMTV this morning. No notice was given (probably because it wasn't a live interview).

It was in the Capitol Studios in LA where Russell's recording his next album and we got to hear a snippet of the song Heaven Help Us All. (So a nice sneaky peek as to what's on the next disc). Very Happy

Russell was fantastic on The Paul O'Grady show on Monday. He sang Me And Mrs Jones and completely made it his own. Then he was interviewed by Des & Mel (guest presenters), about his music and illnesses. They asked Russell about his music coming full circle as this is what he sang in the clubs and who picks the tracks for the albums, adn Russell joked how everyone has a hand in picking, ie the producers etc, then he does what he wants. Laughing
