The Philharmonic will sing at Grimsby Central Hall, Duncombe Street, on Saturday, October 18, from 7.30pm, accompanied by the Eastern Sinfonia and conducted by Sue Hollingworth.

The piece was written by Haydn after seeing a performance of Handel's Messiah which inspired him to compose something similar.

He used a libretto compiled from parts of Genesis and Milton's Paradise Lost to tell the story of the creation of earth.
The choir will be joined by soprano Rhona McKail, baritone Glenville Hargreaves and tenor, Nicky Spence.
