Its hard to believe he can't fit in the Triathlon again this year isn't it
Well I doubt he can get bored with the variety of appearances he gets. But this one is very special as his first full dramatic appearance in an operetta - that is unless we find out he is doing something else beforehand
At least we will recognise his voice costume and make up or not, no mistaking Jons voice !

You made me laugh Smilie Eyes, about Jonathan not being able to fit in the Triathlon,
I dont know how he finds time to sleep, it will be strange to see Jon in costume ,
At least we will not be having any conversations about his hair, as I dont expect we will be able to see it |

Booking open online in Richmond
OPERA AT ITS EFFERVESCENT BEST
Jonathan Ansell, Nichola McAuliffe and Sylvester McCoy star in
The Mikado
After a sell-out season at the Gielgud Theatre and an American tour, Carl Rosa Opera’s critically acclaimed production of
Gilbert and Sullivan’s evergreen show arrives in Richmond.
The Mikado is set in the magnificent but alarming Japanese court of Titipu, where plenty of colourful characters await –
Ko-Ko the Lord High Executioner, Pooh-Bah the Lord High Everything-Else, lovers Nanki-Poo and Yum-Yum and, of course, the three little maids from school.
This hilarious tale of love, marriage and corruption in local government speeds merrily along, complete with executions, heroics, and some of G&S’s most infectious tunes.
Nichola McAuliffe, last seen here in Star Quality heads a sparkling cast which includes G4’s Jonathan Ansell and Sylvester McCoy, in this ‘most satisfactory’ production. And what better setting for it than Richmond Theatre – the very place where Topsy Turvy, Mike Leigh’s film about the writing of the opera, was filmed! Put this on your little list!
2 tickets for the price of 1
on top price tickets Tue 9 Sep only (subject to availability, no other discounts apply)
Total running time
2 hours 35 minutes |

I think Jonathan is going to love doing this.
After doing the Three Waiters he must be over the moon to be able to do some more acting and performing as well as singing!
He was born to be on the stage - West End/Musicals/TV etc I hope this is the start of many such opportunities for him - and I hope that one way or another A Wandering Minstrel might find it's way onto his new album! So those of us who cannot go might at least be able to hear him sing it.
Fingers crossed!
