I am a fairly new fan compared to the people on this forum. I was online on AOL back in Oct. 07 when I saw the headlines "Brain Tumor Lands Star Tenor in Hospital". I clicked & there was an article telling about Russell & a video of him performing "Volare" for AOL Sessions. The minute I heard him I was hooked, I sent the little AOL video to all my friends all over the U.S. Immediately after going to his website, ordered CD's and two DVDs and later orderd more DVD's for friends & now they are all fans from Oregon to Colorado, Wisconsin & Louisiana. I still marvel at his voice & definitely fell in love after watching the DVDs. I watch the videos at least once a week plus have all his music on my iPod Touch & play in my car. Wish I had known about him long ago as would have attended his concerts when he was in the U. S. I come to this forum real often to find anything new concerning Russell and love seeing the latest pictures. I've seen a couple of performances on Youtube (2008 concerts) and love 'em....I feel cheated Crying or Very sad for not knowing about him before Oct. 07...He absolutely has a God given talent, in a class by himself...Thanks for letting me tell about finding Russell & I pray for his lasting recovery every day.

XRainey: Yes, it's amazing, from that one little snippet, which I keep on my desktop still, many fans evolved. At lunch last week I told my friend about Russell & let him listen to part of a song on my iPod. He emailed me that afternoon & said he had ordered the latest collection of Russells & thanked me for introducing him to this "new" artist.. Rolling Eyes I could go on & on about the people I've shared his music with. I went to Italy for 15 days back in April & believe me, if I had know about Russell back in Aug. 07 when I made my reservations, I would have NOT gone to Italy & used that money to go to the UK to see Russell. I much preferred my England visit 4 years ago to the Italy trip anyway Mad ....come to think of it, Russell was probably around somewhere appearing at that time. Now, that's really depressing. I could have gone to the UK at least 2 times for what Italy cost!! Being the music lover that I am, I still can't figure why I had not heard of him before last Oct. 07 Question Thanks for the welcome and reply. I noticed when I sent my email this morning it was about 5:30 am your time & I was just going to bed at 3:00 am. (I'm a night owl as you can tell)

Russell is contagious isn't he Laughing

My story is similar as I saw him singing Barcelona on TV, although this was at the start of his recording career.

I hope we can keep you as up to date as possible on everything Russell related. And I'm so happy that you found Russell and us here at CX. Very Happy

I'm so glad you have this forum and for keeping us all up to date on Russell. I'll be checking back frequently for any updates. I do wish he had more DVDs available. I noticed on Youtube that the Japan YTL concert is totally on there #1 through #10. Wonder why he wouldn't have a DVD made of that? I'm sure it would sell & I'd be first in line. Idea
Did you attend any of 2008 concerts?

Thanks much

Which DVDs do you have Texasfan, The Leeds and Auckland ones?
There is also The Ultimate Collection on DVD which has clips from both the previous DVDs and the Trump Taj Mahal US concert and music videos. Smile

We also have some videos available to watch via Russell's ClassicalX homepage Click Here

I have been to the Sheffield concert this year. It was amazing Very Happy

Ok, I have one that says Russell Watson, The Voice The Ultimate Collection & it also reads: 21 Classic Tracks from "The Ultimate Voice", Nessun dorma, Nella fantasia, You are So Beautiful, Caruso.......
and right under that it reads 9 tracks new to DVD & 5 jbonus Music Videos.
This one has several numbers done at the Taj Mahal in U.S. and several from other concerts in England & Australia I believe..

The other DVD entitled Russell Watson Live "The Voice" and has a lot of the same songs but not necessarily filmed in the same place.
These were the only two I could find out there on the web.....

Also would like to send you the link that AOL recorded which was where I discovered him...It's really a great little video of "Volare"

The first DVD has Russell talking about himself a little in between a few songs.

After reading on the back of the 2nd DVD, I guess it must be mostly performances from the concert in New Zealand at Auckland.
