That is very good to see - thank you Cathy. Good on Classic fm for starting so early and giving plenty of time for folk to book their tickets. As more and more details come out about this tour, I am sure the tickets will sell fast.
A full supporting cast? Love the idea. It sounds as though we will get to hear some of these great arias sung 'in situ' so to speak. It will bring them alive and give a true flavour of the operas they are taken from.
Trust Jonathan to come up with a new approach for the concerts! Can't wait now! _________________ Marian X

Thanks Cathy.
The more I hear about this concert - the more excited I get!
It does sound as though its going to be a "stage show" more than just a concert doesnt it - with a full orchestra and an opera company involved.
How fantastic!
It will be a wonderful show for anyone - not just Jonathan fans - but for people who love good music and a stage show too.
Hopefully they will get the full details out there to us and the GBP soon!

They even have a pic on there that actually looks like him
Whoooooo hope he will be singing Celeste Aida. Nearly wore the 78 record out when a kid of Mario Lanza. In costume - does this mean he will be wearing a short skirt or is that another opera, must look on youtube.
See your shirt matches the thread Marian

Must say I do agree -out of all the TATM gallery pics on Jonathan's official site I find the album cover photo of Jonathan my least favorite-nice to see a photo of Jonathan out of the TATM image used. _________________ Jonathan Ansell's official forum

And yes - a lovely photo of Jonathan over there!
Off topic - Marian I'm so pleased to see you using that lovely photo in your signature - it works beautifully as a signature photo. It brings a smile to my face everytime I look at it.

How about Jonathan singing the one from La Fille de Regiment!?
There are lots of reasons for Jonathan to sing. One for High C. I heard Pavarotti's version last night. Lately, Juan Diego Florez sang....wearing leather shorts as a Tyrolean boy. Another reason. He would look lovely...
I heard Jane Jones and Margarita Taylor mentioning A Night at the Opera on Cfm Classic Event. Somebody heard (was it? ) Simon Bates mentioning. It will be great Matt also does it in his show |

There are so many arias I am hoping to hear Jonathan sing at this concert:
I would so love Che Gelida Manina - my favourite on Tenor at the Movies.
I'm also hoping that La Traviata means that he will be singing Brindisi.
I'd also love La donne e mobile and Nessun Dorma.
I also loved the song by Faust that the tenor on FNIMN did - dont know where it's from or anything - I think Jonathan said it was "sung to his house?"
Largo al Factotum (Figaro) from the Barber of Seville
Some duets - like the Flower Duet would be nice - if he has the sort of special guests that could do that with him.
And this is one of my very very favourite pieces of music - I had it in my wedding: it's from Orfeo ed Erudice:
"Che farò senza Euridice?"/“J’ai perdu mon Eurydice” ("What I will do without Euridice?)

and a lower version:
