Some more info today from The Radio Times

Quote:
Russell Watson - Fighting for Life: Tonight Friday 30 May
8:00pm - 8:30pm
ITV1 London
In an exclusive interview, people's tenor Russell Watson talks to Sir Trevor McDonald about his two-year battle with a life-threatening tumour of the pituitary gland.
VIDEO Plus+: 2419

A Tonight with Sir Trevor McDonald Special.
It is going to be a very insightful and emotional programme. But Sir Trevor is very sympathetic and empathic to his guests, especially those who've gone through tough times.
I personally cannot wait to see the programme as it will give us an idea of what really happened (as Russell will be more serious in this interview than say others he has done for promotion purposes) and get us all in the right mindset when it comes to that part of is book.

It is a great article isn't it. And now we know more about the programme and that it won't all be emotional tissues out, but light hearted too.

Russell is mentioned in most of the tv guides for this week regarding this programme Very Happy this is the one from the Sun's tv guide it says

Opera Singer Russell Watson talks candidly about battling back from the brain tumour that almost killed him in this documentary.

Russell chats to host Sir Trevor McDonald about his ordeal following emergency brain surgery in October last year, plus, camera follow the tenor as he returns for the first time to the hospital where he was treated, Manchester's Alexander Hospital, to meet the staff who helped with his rehabilation.

Also with a small pic that I don't remember seeing Very Happy

It is only on for 1/2 hour from 8.00 - 8.30. Tissues may be needed Wink

That was a lovely programme. I was ok until I saw the tears in Russell's eyes then I got a bit teary too.
But compared to that lady who lost her life we have to see that Russell was very lucky, and I thought VERY brave to do the programme.
Thank you Russell for letting us in that little bit more.
