I think the stick blender will go down in the annals of history. Laughing
It was great to see this from the camera side although all of us there had some wonderful views too. Wink
The singing was superb.

Finally caught up with everything now - last week I was extremely busy trying to keep up with all things Jonathan!! Laughing

It was great to finally see this broadcast and see it as a viewer. Only a tiny bit was cut and it's virtually how I remembered the recording except I now get to see the front rather than his backside!! Embarassed haha

The trouble with television is that you could not experience the smells that went with those menus - they were divine. I agree Cathy, it is about time Jonathan strayed from the 'safe' menu and tried something a little more adventurous but I have to say it looked fab. Very Happy

From where I was sitting in the audience I didn't get to see what Hayley was up to and I thought she and Nick Nairns did a wonderful job with her ingredients.

They both seemed up for the challenge and looked as though they enjoyed themselves.

As for the singing, I cried in the studio and again when I saw the broadcast - what am I like!!!! Laughing Laughing There is something so joyous about the blend of their voices, so pure and clean. Jonathan came over a little louder than on the album and made it sound different. Of course they had no orchestra so I personally thought it was out of this world. I would love to hear the whole thing sung acapella.

Must watch it again very soon!!
Very Happy

Interesting comment there Marian - about the smells of the cooking. I never thought of that - yes it must be such a different experience actually being there if only from that point of view alone.

They need to introduce smellyvision! Laughing

It was a lovely show - and both meals looked delicious and of course the snippet of Hayley and Jonathan singing was the icing on the cake!

Love Molly xx

I watched this last night too - it really was a very, very happy occasion and that comes over on the broadcast - think everyone involved had a lot of fun and both Jonathan and Hayley were very relaxed. Know I am a wee bit biased but Phil came up with some very adventurous solutions to the ingredients - Nick was inadvertently given his favourite salmon which was a bit of a shame??
