More news from merlin

Russell Watson
With Russell back in fine health May has been the start of a very busy period for The Voice. Russell will be joining the panel of judges for the new BBC 1 Show, ‘Last Choir Standing’ due to air on Saturday nights throughout the summer.

He will also be joining television royalty as a guest on Sir Trevor McDonald’s ‘Tonight’ on Friday 30th May at 8pm on ITV1.

A Special Edition of the album 'Ultimate Collection' will be released on 2nd June including a second disc with live tracks taken from his concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 2007.

Following all this on 5th June will be the release of Russell’s Autobiography, ‘Finding My Voice’. A warts and all journey of his rise from a Salford Factory worker to Multi-Million Selling Singer detailing the many personal setbacks he has overcome.

A new update from Merlin today

Russell Watson
Russell is now in the middle of a hugely successful sell out UK Summer 2008 tour and the re-release of the Ultimate Collection album has now been riding high in the UK album chart Top 20 for 3weeks! Other great news is that Russell's autobiography 'Finding My Voice' is in the Top 10 for the second week and still climbing. July will see Russell back on our screens as a judge in the new Saturday night Prime time BBC1 show 'Last Choir Standing' on a search for the UK's best Choir.

Another update from Merlin today:

Russell Watson
Russell's hectic year has continued this month with a busy filming schedule as head judge on the hit Saturday night BBC1 show, 'Last Choir Standing'. His autobiography "Finding my Voice" has proved a huge hit, staying in the top 10 for 6 weeks. Russell has also recently been a guest on the sofa at The One Show and will fly out to LA shortly to begin work on his 8th studio album due for release later this year.

Look forward to the new album. I'm guessing a few Mo-town songs will be on there after the great reception they got on the tour, especially Louisiana. Very Happy

Russell is going to be quiet a busy boy for the next few weeks according to the new Merlin Elite update. Very Happy

Russell Watson
Russell has this month been named the UK’s favourite classical singer in a nationwide poll run by Classic FM and Radio Times. In the poll of 30,000 people, Russell was rated the Nations number one ahead of legends including Pavarotti, Carreras and Bryn Terfel.
August has been another busy month for Russell with him judging the Nations best choirs in BBC1’s hit Saturday night show, ‘Last Choir Standing’, with the final this Saturday featuring a special performance from ‘The Voice’ himself.
This September will see Russell performing in Shrewsbury (6th September) and Salford (13th September) as part of their respective summer programmes and the BBC ‘Proms in the Park’.
Russell will also be opening this year’s Soccer Aid on the 7th September as a special guest performer.
