As the site grows, members may want to share their experiences at concerts, etc. Do you feel that ClassicalX should have a DEDICATED review system (not just a forum) where members and visitors would be able to search for reviews on artists?
Please vote.
Thx |

Dunno if I'm supposed to reply... I'll do it anyway
I really like the idea of a review system. I do not visit many concerts a year - at least not concerts of artists on this site - but I'd be glad to share my opinions about the few shows. |

prob the best thing boss cos then we would'nt get into the tangle of deviating from the subject matter, as we're inclined to do sometimes (Have to keep editing never believe I was a secretary once) |

I think it's a great idea, people who can't get to concerts will be able to share it with others that did. I know I like reading how much fans have enjoyed the concerts. I voted yes. _________________ Music Makes The World Go Round, especially when it's THE VOICE. |

Yes, I'm all for it, for the reasons Nettie has given. |

Just to point out that reviews on artists, and reviews on concerts, can be different! -as I said on the RW forum. Classic Respose (1) had: Opera Babes, Bond, Keedie, Celtic Tenors, Jon Christos, Julian Lloyd Weber, Aled Jones, Cassie Yukawa and Rosie Chan (pianists), Duel, Amici Forever, G4, Russell Watson and Harry Sever- so three acts already featured here and at least 2 I am aware are being requested to be featured here. Classic Response (2) has a whole group of artists also, some the same, some different. That is very different from a concert dedicated to one artist, and would need a different sort of review (IMHO).
As I said, my review of classic response(1) was focused more on one person because the readers it was written for were interested in him, but a review on a board like this would have a wider interest group and would be worded differently.
And nettie is right, the idea is not only to give info others may want and answer their questions, but to share the exerience as much as possible |

From the RW forum

It would be possible to have a general REVIEW section also - for any submitted reviews that were not specific.
|
One problem with having REVIEWS in a forum is that they can go off topic and with enough discussion the original review is lost (unless the visitor starts from the beginning). A dedicated review section will not lose the review. |

I tried to submit a Russell review tonight but when I went to preview it, a message came up that I didn't have permission to use the HTML (I think) tags, and so I lost the lot. _________________ Music is love in search for a word |

| If you are copying it from a web page - it may contain HTML tags, so will be rejected (security reasons) - best option is to copy and paste it in to something like Microsoft Word, then copy it out in to ClassicalX - that should remove the tags. |
