Just a LITTLE advance warning in these events Wink

The concerts are with the Lancashire Sinfonietta on Friday 14th March 2008, 7.30pm, Cosmo Rodewald Hall, Manchester University, Manchester and Saturday 15th March 2008, 7.30pm, Marine Hall, Fleetwood.

The details are the same for both nights

Programme to include:
Mozart Symphony No.36 "Linz" K.425
Sieczynski Vienna, city of dreams
J.Strauss On The Beautiful Blue Danube Op.314

Hungarian trad. The Lark
Hungarian trad. Hejre Kati - "Pretty Katy"

Virtuoso violinist, Bradley Creswick, will lead the Sinfonietta on the journey of a lifetime, down the beautiful Blue Danube.

The hugely talented tenor, Alfie Boe, has been making an international name for himself since he last appeared with the Sinfonietta.

After his years performing in the Royal Opera House, on Broadway and releasing two solo albums, Alfie is thrilled to return to his home town of Fleetwood for this special concert.

The itinerary of our trip will include the glorious historical city of Linz, the romantic soul of Vienna, the smoky cafes of Budapest and ending in the gypsy heartlands of Hungary.

These epic musical travels will melt your heart and stir your blood!

The tickets for the Fleetwood concert sold out in under 4 hours - the tickets for the Manchester concert go on sale in November and there is news to follow of a rehearsal concert on the 13th.

It was a great rehearsal wasn't it and lovely to see Alfie doing the Q&A at the end with pupils from his former school. I loved how even though it was a rehearsal, Alfie was dressed in a suit - very smart he looked too!
Looking forward to seeing the actual concert now! Smile
