This actually started last night (or this morning!)
and it was wonderful to hear Matt's voice on the radio again - such a wonderful speaking voice - I could happily drift away to that for hours...... played some great music too - let's hope it's not long before we hear the spectacular singing voice again!
Also on tonight (2.00pm sunday morning)

Will have to listen to this one as I couldn't stay awake either.
So good to have Matt back on the 'circuit' even if not singing, but maybe one day............. _________________

Been listening to this on Listen Again and he is very good and the music is actually a lot more listenable to than a lot of the stuffier end of ClassicFM
Very soothing ....

Loving the choice of music, except Vaughan Williams. so tired of hearing again and again, expecially English Folk Songs and Lark Ascending . I did like them when I first heard or maybe first 50 times, but not any more On the other hand, I loved Handel by Bryn - the second choice last week. I can easily replace Bryn with Matt. Just the right song for Matt and he has similar quality in the voice, deep and warm.
Which one do you mean by 'Stuffy' Di? I don't find anything stuffy on Cfm and they are doing very hard to be not stuffy- rather too hard sometimes. but there are more exciting pieces and boring ones like VW. I must say, I never get tired of Vivaldi even they played 100 times And also, I didn't really like operas before G4, but G4 opened up the world for me.
I wonder if Matt is doing live at such earthy hours. The last shift I would take up He is trying to stay away from lime light. Those hours may be best suited him as he can just sneak out in the dark without anybody knowing |

Finally got to find the mag. read Matt's great 'essay'. His writing is supported by great back ground knowledge or homework. Interesting to see what younger generation of director at an opera company can do
Cfm is taking up lots of new talented people to present.
Apart from our Matt, Howard Goodall started presenting at weekend. I love his music. especially 'Vicar of Dibley' theme, and loved programmes presented by him on TV.
Alex James from Blur has been presenting for some time. I didn't know he was from Blur. (I knew about the band but didn't really know enough about the band members ) He has lovely deep voice like Matt, and very good presenter too. Also, I didn't know (until this morning when Cfm played it) John Brunning has written 'Pie Jesu' for All Angels- not to be confused with the one by Jullian Lloyd Webber sung by Sarah Brightman - love All Angles version
Matt is in a very good company of high standard |

Still haven't seen the CFM magazine, but glad Matt is doing so well on Classicfm radio..such a gifted singer in his own right, he is now able to share his love of classical composers with his audience too..as Kay says Matt's in good company with the best....would be nice to read more, that's if I can get a copy of the magazine!! |

Natalie You can listen on 'Listen Again'. for 7 days or so. Can you not?
I am never awake on those earthy hours and always listen on Listen Again. it is hard though as I can't stop after 1 hour and start from there next time . You have to run it for the whole programme all at once. At least, you can listen the beginning part. |

At least 3 different presenters on Cfm mentioned Jonathan's A Night at the Opera. It will be lovely to hear Matt mentioning it on his show too |
