Aled concert 1 March - Philharmonic Hall

Eight days of cultural celebrations marking the Welsh influence on Liverpool start next weekend.

Singer and broadcaster Aled Jones will join the Welsh Choral Union and RLPO to mark St David’s Day at the Philharmonic Hall on March 1 and begin the festivities.

what an amazing concert it was!! Aled's voice was as wonderful as ever and he as gorgeous as ever! The Philharmonic orchestra were fab too!!
Aled sang 8 songs in total ending with a standing ovation to Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau!
Then he was forced into an unplanned encore! No-one was going to let him get away without an encore!! He told us after that he had taken jacket and tie off and had to get dressed again quickly when they realised we weren't going to let him off!! Laughing

He also had the company of a spider during the concert which he mentioned to the audience! I was sitting close enough to see this spider busying around on the microphone! And see the strand of web in near Aled.

It was great to see Aled for a few mins after the concert! He was on fine form! What a guy!!

It was a wonderful evening!! Thanks Aled for everything!!
