Great review and pics Marian Very Happy Wink

Probably one of a handful of singers who can do something like this 'off the cuff' and to launch straight into a song without any preparation, music etc. Just awsome

Anyone not heard him sing 'off the cuff' or otherwise - have a look at this which Marian put on YouTube. I'm sure you'll be amazed by it Very Happy -

The anticipation was very high as the show began. Alan kept announcing that Jonathan would be there soon and I must admit I didn't take much in from the rest of the show. I was constantly looking around trying to catch a glimpse. Finally as the advert break was on, the studio hands swung into action and brought on the candelabras, microphones and chairs for Jonathan's set. I had to laugh a little as the girl was having great difficulty trying to light the candles!!

All of a sudden from the side of us, an immaculate Jonathan appeared and took to the stage. He waved at a couple of fans and winked a couple of times in recognition before the show came back on air. Jon's suit was beautiful, satin trimmed around the pockets and looked as though it had just come off the shelf! The lighting was superb and the scene was set.

I was lucky enough to be in the third row right in front of him so had a perfect view. I was stunned, Everything else in the studio went black as I honed in on his face. One of the cameras was just above my head so it felt as though he was singing directly to me a couple of times! He sang so beautifully. Again, the power of his voice was overwhelming, he came across brilliantly and doesn't he make good television? A nice little natter with Alan then straight into the song, always keeping an eye out for the camera and giving it his all!.

As we were 'locked in' to watch a second show being recorded, we didn't have a chance to catch him afterward although I believe a couple did manage to see him on their way to the loos!!

I have finally got to see the show on TV and all I can say is WOW!!!!!

This may sound silly but I am even more impressed with how it looked for those watching on TV. In the studio he was brilliant but as a TV interview it was amazing. The song was a perfect choice and as for that note at the end - spine chilling.

Jonathan, you MUST sing either this or another one with a big power note on Loose Woman. You will have them eating out of your hands and will leave a lasting impression on you potential buying audience. If today's broadcast doesn't result in higher sales on Monday I will be gobsmacked!!

A truly brilliant performance. Very Happy

Great review Marian! Thanks so much! Glad you had a wonderful day.

Watching on tv was wonderful - I was so touched by the way Jon sang and performed it was beautiful - his best ever tv performance for me.

Hopefully UCJ will get it up on Jons youtube soon.

I was at the studio too and can reiterate what Marian says. I was on the second row toward the centre and had a lovely view. Jonathan looked stunning and sounded sublime. His voice never fails to knock me out !
'Here's to the Heroes' is a wonderful track it shows how easily Jon can reach those high notes . I think Alan Titchmarsh was enraptured with the performance too. The other guests didn't stand a chance.
Thankyou once again Jon.
