I think that is one of the best bits Cathy. He just sits back, opens his mouth and that glorious voice just takes over the airwaves! It is certainly an attention grabber and he comes over very well, you can't fail to be impressed.

Great reaction from all the presenters and anyone else in the studio too.

Oooh, bring on that tour!! Very Happy

The 3 interviews today were brilliant.

It was interesting to have David Garrett the violinist in on one of the interviews - talking about working with Jon on Jons album - he said he heard this amazing singer and was delighted to work with him. He is an awesome violinist - I'd love to hear the two of them perform live together.

I was lucky enough to be able to go to Radio Coventry with 10 other fans to meet Jonathan and see him record an interview and I have to say that it was one of the best days of my life. I am still on cloud nine and I doubt I will leave there for a very long time.

The sun was shining, the staff at the radio station was so welcoming to us, Steve and Ray(his tour manger and driver) were great, Bob Brolly (the presenter} was a legend and as for Mr Jonathan Ansell, well, words fail me.

Jonathan arrived on foot with Steve and Ray as the car had to be left a little way away. A quick hello was had before he shot into the studio. The staff very kindly allowed us to go inside the foyer and sit down to wait for Jonathan.

It took a couple of seconds to realise that Jonathan was already in the studio with Bob and we could see him through the glass. We could here the interview on loudspeakers and watch a TV screen with footage from a webcam! Well what more could we have asked for!! We thought we would just sit there and wait for Jonathan to finish but all of a sudden we heard Bob say he was going to allow us into the studio!!

OMG is this for real? We couldn't believe our luck! True to their word, a few minutes later when one of the tracks was being played, we were ushered in. We dumped all our bags at the back of the studio and had a chance to properly say hi to Jonathan. We formed a sort of semi circle behind him.

It was a hilarious interview. Jonathan was brilliant and Bob was hysterical! The atmosphere was electric; we never knew what was coming next. Jonathan didn't seemed phased at all by having us in there and we had a good giggle.

But the crowning moment had to be when Jonathan sang. When he said he would sing, I swear we all inhaled sharply with anticipation. He pulled the seat back a little and without any preamble just opened his mouth and started to sing. What a sweet and glorious sound. I was only 4 feet away and could feel the sound in my chest. The reverberation purely from his voice got right inside me and that was not the last note either!! To hear that last note in such close proximity was awesome, truly awesome. The sheer power, yet sweet tone with it is so so unique. It filled the room. Believe me, if you ever have the chance to see him in sing live, please god, you will be blown off this planet! I stood there with my mouth open and a tear running down my cheek. So deeply moving. I will never forget that note for as long as I live. I feel so deeply privileged to have witnessed it.

As Jonathan finished singing we erupted with applause. I saw the look on the other fans faces and it was a look of sheer delight. It wasn't long before we were all chatting and laughing again but his voice was still and still is in my head.

It seemed that we were in the studio for ages. After the interview was over, we had group photos taken and Bob took this wonderful photo of me and Jonathan - thanks Bob.

We were told Jonathan had to go into another studio to do his stint for Radio Wales, so we all filed out and sat in the foyer again trying to calm down. After about 5-10 minutes, I caught sight of Jonathan rushing back into Bob's studio and took to the airwaves again to announce his website address www.jonathanansell.com - nice one Jonathan!! I had mentioned to him earlier how many guests we had online when he announced it the day before and he was amazed and said he would try to mention it again but time ran away with him and forgot!! Obviously he remembered later and hence the impromptu return!!

Jonathan then came out between interviews to spend time with us. We chatted, got more photos and he signed anything and everything in sight for us! It was then he mentioned he would be appearing at the Baftas. He also confirmed that the Alan Titchmarsh show was going out live on the 12th Feb and he was doing something later in London for Childline.

He dashed off again for another interview - where does he get all that energy from? When it was time to leave, we gave him all his presents and just had enough time for a final hug and kiss before he wandered out of the building.

Bob was still on air going on about what a wonderful guy Jonathan is. It was lovely to hear and his enthusiasm during the interview was infectious and surely has earned Jonathan some new fans today. We got talking to the girl on reception who was also in awe of him and said what a lovely guy he was. I remember as Jon was leaving, he went over to her and thanked her for her help and said it was nice to meet her. I think it made her day too. I quickly wrote a note from us for Bob thanking him for making our day and for a brilliant interview.

A day never to be forgotten.

Great review Marian. Smile

I couldnt stop laughing it was such a funny interview - and Bob Brolly is indeed a legend.

It was fabulous listening in and being a part of it all - and you ladies made it!

The live singing of My Own True Love was fantastic over the air ways - as you say that last note - magnificent. What it must have been like to be in the same room as him - the power in his voice was so huge.

It's been a wonderful radio tour - and it's not over yet - still have a few next week - but this one in Coventry was one of my very favourites.

Love Molly xx Smile

Great review and pics Marian! Closest I've ever been to him singing was when he walked past me at cathedral tour. So brief but remember my heart was still pounding!
