Performing at the “2008 CHINESE NEW YEAR ALL STAR SHOW

(Montreal, February 4, 2008) – Giorgia Fumanti was invited to participate at the “2008 Chinese New Year All Star Show” to be televised across China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and other SE Asian countries on February 5th, 9th and 10th by the Shanghai Media Group and in America by Fairchild TV on February 10th at 20h10 and by Talentvision on February 17th at 20h00. This Gala concert featuring Chinese super stars, including Wei Wei who sold 200 million albums, and Giorgia Fumanti, will be viewed by more than 1 billion people. It is a joint production by the Shanghai Media Group of China and the Fairchild Media Group in Canada.

“It gives me great joy to be part of such an amazing concert of this scale. This will be the fourth time that my performances will be viewed by so many in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and other South East Asian countries. A beautiful way to kick off the Chinese New Year” she adds.

Giorgia Fumanti sang for the first time in Mandarin, capturing the famous traditional Mandarin song “Qing Zang Highland”. In addition, she also sang in Italian and in English. The organizers also gave Giorgia Fumanti the honour to sing the grand finale song in duet with Wei Wei.

After a super busy year in 2007 with concerts in Asia and in London with famed tenor José Carreras, in Lake Las Vegas with Lang Lang, over 40 concerts in Japan and the USA with Chinese group 12 Girls Band, in Canada with the Italian superstar Zucchero, and participating at the 2007 Closing Ceremony of the Special Olympics in Shanghai last October and recently at the “2010 Shanghai Expo Mascot Opening Event”, this All Star Show will mark another chapter in the dazzling rise of Giorgia Fumanti –a singer with a truly unique and exceptional voice. This major performance comes on the heels of the success of Giorgia Fumanti’s latest album, From My Heart.

As Giorgia simply states in her album liner notes, “It is so simple and true the desire I have to sing for you…From My Heart to Your Heart. Just like when my grandmother sang for me when I was a child and she was able to take me into a Special place…a place of peace, freedom, and love.
