Awww thanks for the kind words folks.
I love doing it - a labour of love for me most definitely.
I didnt want anyone ever to miss any G4 and would hate for anyone to miss anything to do with our Jonathan now.
Jon will be a very busy bee on Friday Natalie thats for sure - but the timings do allow for him to be at them all I would say. Lets hope he is for the people who might be going along to see him.

Well what a first day that was!! Two live shows, another recorded to be heard on Monday and a pre-recoded show on Classic fm last night!! In all of them, Jonathan had something different to say and all were very interesting. He is a natural for radio.
We finally got to hear the full versions of some of the tracks including Here's To The Heroes and Che Gelida Manina - both amazing, Down In The River To Pray is very catchy and the highlight for me was to here Jonathan singing live and unaccompanied My Own True Love. That blew me away. Such a versatile voice with power and emotion.
Jonathan at his best is unequalled in my eyes. |

The two radio shows we heard were absolutely fantastic!
Down to the river to pray and Heroes were both wonderful and hearing Che Gelida Manina made me cry. It seemed so poignant somehow and the end bit where he sings so softly - very touching.
The live performance of My Own True Love was magnificent and the reaction in the radio studio said it all - the cheering and clapping and the total disbelief that such a voice could be produced just sitting in a chair. It was a magical moment for them there and us listening in.
Both interviews were interesting and informative and just great to listen to. It was lovely to hear the passion in Jonathan for this album and the movie themes he has chosen.

I was at work, so couldn't acces these Radio interviews until I got home .................all I can say is...........Thank GOD for listen again features and what BRILLIANT interviews they were too
Great to hear some songs in full and his acapella version of 'My Own True Love' (Gone With The Wind) was totally AMAZING. We fans always said that G4 could sing the phone book and we would pay to go and listen and this is what proves that to still be true of Jonathan............what a voice
He so deserves this solo career to be a success and I'm sure I speak for all his fans from his G4 days when I say that we'll be following him as we did G4 for the past 3 years and will do our best to make him the success he so deserves as we would with all the other 3 guys in their solo ventures |

I don't think I've been so knocked out by a singer as I have wih Jonathan.
His voice is so jaw -dropping, and believe me when he is standing next to you singing 'My Way' as I had the pleasure of at the RAH, I just cannot get enough.
An album is wonderful but to hear him sing 'Live' is something the public should aim to do.
I can't praise this young man enough.
The same for G4....they were special and I have loved following them. |

Another excellent radio appearance this morning at BBC Radio Scotland.
He sang My Own True Love again - live in the studio and the last note was totally gob smackingly amazing!
The DJ said - "and that is why UCJ wrote a cheque for 1 million pounds ...........and that is why he is going to Vegas!"
There is a pre-recorded interview going out tonight on BBC Southern Counties - Mark Carter show - at about 6.40pm.

Jonathan Ansell, the young British tenor is joining Classic FM.
He will join next month to present a brand new five-part series profiling the life and the music of the great movie composers.
The Great Movie Composers begins on Sunday, February 17 at 4pm with a look at the life and the times of John Williams, |

Thanks Xcept. Looking forward to this series very much.
Jon did another great interview this morning with BBC Leeds and Bradford. He sang My Own True Love live - the last note nearly blew me off my computer - it was fantastic.
Also they put him on the spot and asked him to sing O sole Mio - the Cornetto words - and of course he rose to the challenge and gave them a great burst!
These interviews are lovely - giving a great insight into Jonathan's personality and the radio stations are unanimously blown away by his live vocals.

Just goes to show he is still your regular guy who likes a bit of a laugh!! I think one of the interviewers said after he had gone what a really nice and genuine guy he was and that he not lost touch with reality. That is so true. So willing to stop and chat about anything and everything taking time out with his fans. So rare these days.
Thank you xcept for the official news on his radio show on Classic FM. You know where I will be for a few Sundays this month then!!! |
