Thank you Dave you are a star,
I bought my CFM Mag today, They have really done Jonathan proud, the articles are very interesting, and the photos are great, sticking to the movie theme,I liked the way that they have shown you which song goes with which film,as not everyone will know, Iam sure that Jon gets better looking each time new photos come out,and was impressed to read that Jon was voted number four on listeners Heroes.
Jonfan Very Happy

Thanks to Kay for finding this tonight.

Extra news and features and a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the March 2008 issue…

Jonathan Ansell – Bringing Hollywood to Teddington on a Budget

Former G4 frontman Jonathan Ansell's debut solo album is released this month. Tenor at the Movies, as the title suggests, has a movies theme, so when, as art editor, I was asked to arrange a cover photoshoot for Jonathan for the March issue of the magazine there was only one way to go: Hollywood. But on a budget! I wanted to bring as many movie elements as possible into the shoot so I set about begging, borrowing and stealing suitable props to bring to our photographic studios in Teddington for the shoot.

The James Bond-style tuxedos were borrowed from a local outfit hire shop (jomclarendresshire.co.uk) and fitted Jonathan perfectly. The film cans and filmstrips were borrowed from a friend of my dad's and the red velvet curtains were actually from the changing rooms of the photographic studio!

So with the cover shot and main opening picture organised I just wanted one other movies-themed shot to complete the feature. As luck would have it, on a brief visit to one of the local ale houses, I got chatting to the staff and discovered that the owner of the pub was also a location scout for a movie production company and had a collection of movie props in a room upstairs. So, it was a no-brainer really.

When we finished the photoshoot at the studios we brought Jonathan down to the Bloated Mallard pub (near Teddington railway station – for those die-hard Ansell fans who may wish to visit it) and photographed him surrounded by movie props. We finished the day with a well-earned beer (or a vodka martini!).

You can see the finished results in the March issue of Classic FM magazine, and hopefully you'll agree that we managed to bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to the sleepy suburbs of Teddington.
