Hi,
Thanks to this site, I had his album delievered to yesterday and I am a bit perplexed how he is described as classical. He wasn't exactly operatic, all he did was take some italian love songs and translate them into English.
Completely baffled. It seems to me that people will class any singers singing in a different language (italian especially) to be classical.
Lovely voice though Don't regret buying it at all.

Hi Nic
Patrizio's a lovely performer. Have you got his DVD - terrific concert and beautiful scenery.
He's not operatic, but I would think his voice has the potential, should he ever want to sing arias. |

I think he could sing the arias too, given time hopefully he will.
Glad you enjoyed his voice Nicola, and like Trish said his DVD is great. _________________ Music Makes The World Go Round, especially when it's THE VOICE. |

When I first heard his songs on his OS I also was surprised that I didn't hear any operatic stuff. But I guess he could be classified as classical crossover if you think of "classical" not as someone singing partly classical music but as someone doing the classics of Italian music |

'Classics' in that way though, just means old music. I know there is a wide range of classical crossover but I just don't see how this one fits at all. Is it just this site or is he generally known as classical?

I know it means old music ... this was just an attempt to find a reason for him being here. But well, at least the roots of the term are the same, aren't they. Seriously, I don't know if he's generally known as classical. I haven't heard of him before I came to this site. Maybe some of his fans can help us out here??? |

Hi,
I had the pleasure of meeting Patrizio here in Melbourne, when he was here recently, he has since returned to complete work on his second album. He is such a great person to meet, very lovely and caring towards the fans.
I found out about Patrizio through Il Divo's site and I just adore his album and the DVD, they are just great and they are on high rotation in my house.
Well as far as classical goes, well I just think that say for instance in record shops, they tend to put easy listening, classical, world, jazz all into the one department in their stores. Other than that I am not so sure.
What I am sure about though, is that I love his music.

I asked for Patrizio to be put on this site, I found his voice so pleasant and easy to listen too. In all the music shops he is put in with all the classical and easy listening, and this is a great site to pass the message about this man, who I think has a great future in front of him. _________________ Music Makes The World Go Round, especially when it's THE VOICE. |

Not only that, but he is just the loveliest person to meet and talk to. He cares very much for his fans. He is doing extremely well down here in Australia, we are getting very excited to hear his new album and for him to tour here in May. If you ever do get the opportunity to meet him, don't hesitate.
His voice is amazing. |

I think, in the olden days he would have been described as a 'crooner'. He is described as a cross over artist, but where does that leave Michael Buble? |

Thanks Nicola, not into this guy, but when I've seen him he has been 'crooning' I love my classical music and the xover this site is all about, but I've never been a real fan of jazz. I guess my music taste buds were damaged by 'trad jazz' in my youth!!! |

I dislike jazz aswell. I bought Michael Buble's first album because it was produced by David Foster. But I hated the material. Nothing wrong with the voice, just not my cup of tea.
Josh Groban is a crooner. But he is still considered to be crossover. _________________
