Sorted! Very Happy

Hope our votes help our Russell win - it would raise his spirits, and he's a true ambassador for Manchester.

We're still waiting on the results for the awards but here is some more info on which awards Russell has been shortlisted for

Pride Of Manchester award for Best Album by a Manchester Artist in 2007
*Ian Brown - The World Is Yours
*Puressence - Don't Forget To Remember
*Russell Watson - Outside In
The Voice's sixth studio album brought together another collection of pop and opera classics all delivered in his own unique style whilst being joined by the likes of Hayley Westenra & Aretha Franklin. It reached no.14 in November
*Russell Watson - That's Life
The Salford tenor took a change of direction with this, his fifth studio album, a collection of classic songs in which he truly encapsulates the magic of the golden era of music. Delayed because of his first brain tumour, it reached UK no.4 in March
*Shayne Ward - Breathless

and

Pride Of Manchester award for Mancunian of 2007
*Anthony Wilson
*James Hickman
*Ricky Hatton
*Ryan Giggs
*Russell Watson
2007 was an incredible year for the Salford tenor. After suffering a brain tumour in late 2006, his album, 'That's Life' was delayed until March, reaching UK.4. After touring the UK, in May he sang the national anthem at Wembley ahead of his beloved Manchester United's defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup Final. He performed for the first time with the Halle at the PFA's Centenary charity concert and appeared at many other charity events throughout the year. In October, during the recording of his next album, 'Outside In', Russell suffered another brain tumour and was rushed into Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. He was lucky to survive and is on a long road to recovery. 'Outside In' charted at UK no.14 in November.

It's fantastic that Russell has been nominated 3 times for 2 awards. Very Happy
Hopefully we'll find out the results tomorrow.

[error on the info by P.o.M it was Jocelyn Brown NOT Aretha Franklin on the Outside In album]
