Classic FM TV is evolving! Find out about the brand new online TV channel coming to ClassicFM.com in January 2008.
From December 2007 you'll be able to trial our new online television service, which will feature short-form classical music videos from artists such as Katherine Jenkins, Blake and Hayley Westenra and will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In the New Year, we look forward to introducing concerts, recitals, interviews short features and speciality music shows to the schedule.
“Already, Classic FM brings classical music to more people in the UK than any other medium. We’ve built our brand by giving listeners the music they want in the way they want it. Now, by being at the forefront of new technological advances, we’re able to take that a step further by putting listeners in control of what they watch and hear”, says Darren Henley, Managing Director of Classic FM.

ClassicFm might be evolving, but in my opinion not for the better. I used to watch it all the time on Sky, it was only way I got to see my fave classical artists such as Il Divo, RyanDan, Cortes and Josh Groban. Then all of a sudden without warning it was taken off air, and replaced with a channel that shows nothing but virtually unknown artists. I think it's unfair that the only way you can now see ClassicFm is online, what about the minority that don't have access to a computer, or can't get online?

I had noticed that the Sky ClassicFM TV channel (359) had changed too BlondeBombshell, but due to the Christmas holidays and such, haven't had chance to find out any definite information regarding the situation yet. _________________ Your attitude determines your altitude in life |

Yes I noticed over Christmas that ClassicFm TV channel had disappeared from Sky too It's a shame as I used to enjoy having the channel on in the background. We'll have to see what else we can find out about it. |

Indeed xantha, I would often have the channel playing in background whilst working on my computer too, as I found it very soothing and not at all distracting to my concentration.
It appears that channel 359 is now called Omusic. I've only had a brief look at the channel but it seems to be showing some videos I recall viewing previously on ClassicFm TV, so it remains to be seen whether this is in fact a replacement or "renaming" situation.
As ever, we'll keep you posted with any news or information we find out! _________________ Your attitude determines your altitude in life |

Must admit i'm missing cfm tv OMusic just does not have the range of videos or the interaction cfm tv had .
I enjoy watching cfm tv via this link to their media player
but sadly it seems to have problems and has been broadcasting without sound for several days now ..hope it's sorted soon as it would be nice to have cfm tv back again -if only as a internet channel. _________________ Jonathan Ansell's official forum

I've been trying to find out some more information Jonfan, but so far can't find anything official about the changes or the future of CFM TV, it's all just suggestions and suppositions. I will continue searching and just hope we hear something definite and positive about this matter from Classic FM soon, as there is distinct lack of info about this on their site at present. _________________ Your attitude determines your altitude in life |

Not a change or the better in my opinion either
I used to have it on in the background too, but as PC is upstairs in a bedroom, it just doesn't work for me anymore and I miss it !
I miss all the old favourites and I loved it when there was a 'special' on like the G4 and Cortes ones
Let's start a 'BRING BACK CLASSICFM TV to TV' thread _________________
